[Request] AMD Mobile Athlon 4000+ support on ASUS K8N-E
Hello i would like help with adding support for AMD's Mobile Athlon 4000+ CPU (socket 754) on the ASUS motherboard K8N-E . It is an older system of mine and i would like to get it up and running. Before trying this CPU the system was working with a slower Sempron 2600+ CPU which is running fine with the board.
Well, when i put the 4000+ the PC powers up (the fan is spinning) but does not boot, there is nothing on the screen and there are no beeps coming from the speaker. I have tried clearing CMOS but with no results.
Now, I found on the internet that the ASUS boards K8N and K8N-E Deluxe work with mobile Athlons and AMD Turion CPU's. Both these boards and the one that i have (K8N-E) have an identical PCB (Deluxe has an added SATA controller with 4 more SATA ports) which you can see from the pictures that I've linked. The chipset of the K8N is Nvidia nForce 3 250 while the K8N-E and the Deluxe version have Nvidia nForce 3 250Gb chipset. I also found that the DFI LANPARTY UT nF3 250Gb, with the same chipset, officially supports this and other mobile CPU's but it has Award BIOS.

Unfortunately i couldn't find official site for this motherboard but i found the site that has modified BIOS for this board and some of this modifications include Power cycles that would get Mobile CPU's to post so maybe it's worth checking out.

i am have one HP DV4-1580BR and this have a wwan socket and antennas and i am have new 3,75G modem to

HP HDX16-1370US BIOS whitelist removal
I do hackintosh and the card that is supplied by HP doesn't support MacOS at all, so I am forced to use the secondary PCIe slot for a secondary card (for some reason this slot is unlocked, despite some models of the HDX16 notebook coming with a designated device in that slot). This wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for several reasons:
1) I have no place to place the antennas for the card (Had to use a separate pair of antennas)
2) I plan to eventually install an SSD in the slot occupied by the card and replacing the factory intel wifi card with a MacOS compatible card
3) I can replace the primary PCIe mini wifi card with another one supported by HP but I don't know what cards would be supported and I want guarantee that the card will work with the system, the only card I know of that could work with the system is an HP Atheros 9280.
I want at least a modded BIOS that will work for this notebook to disable whitelist in case new card doesn't work. I would use the secondary card as a primary but I cant because of BIOS lock and even if it did work, I wouldn't want to keep it in the system since its not dual band.
So I basically have two requests: a working non-whitelisted BIOS for the HDX16-1370US or a dual band card that works with both windows and MacOS and is not blocked by BIOS. [Unlock Request] DELL XPS A2010
Hi,
recently i started to dig a bit more inside the DELL XPS A2010, its a quite nice all-in-one computer but with very narrow upgrade options. I changed the cpu to Q6600 from a dual core which was already a great upgrade but also i would like to upgrade the GPU. Right now the system is running ATI HD2400 256mb GPU stacked inside a MXM II slot, removable. According to the chipset information the PCI is x16 v1.1 which should be compatible also with 2.0 cards, however i got a FX770m which a nvidia 512mb card but couldnt even boot, strange beep sound coming from the machine![Smile]( "Smile")
. Hence, i was wondering if the BIOS is not locked only to a particular GPU from DELL and if there is any possibility to check if the BIOS has a whitelist for the GPU or not and remove this restriction.
In addition, it seems like the MOBO can handle also CPU above the Q6600 like Q8400 but it looks its restricted, maybe. Its possible to unlock this?, by updating the intel microcode? Or any other way.

hello everyone. i`m sorry if it is not the right thread but could not find any more suitable. i`m having a Lenovo Yoga 13 20175 with password on BIOS and SSD drive. i got it from a pawn shop for a bargain. can you help me unlock it?
i have found a dump for the exact chip Winbond 25q64cv and flashed on it. i got it working but i still have the SSD locked and now the serial number and model name of the laptop are showing INVALID.
in the attachment are 3 files: LENOVO_ORIGINAL_66CN55WW.ROM (original bios from Lenovo Website), BACKUP_LOCKED.BIN (the bios that was on the laptop, locked with password and also password protected SSD) and the last one DUMP_FOUND_Yoga13.BIN (which i found after a google search).

Recently I got my hands on P7H55-M-ASUS-V-P7H55E motherboard with an i7 870 processor. I would like to play a bit with OC, but it looks like this motherboard has AI Overclocking tool disabled. I have tried to enable it using BCP v3.46 but I cannot find anything there. I have found a smiliar thread for a similiar motherboard https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-A...E-barebone and it looks like it is possible.
Can someone help me with this, maybe give me some tips? Am I using the correct application? Any help is appreciated guys.

Is it possible to update the BIOS micro code of an Intel DG41AN mini-ITX mainboard ?
I like to use a low power consumption CPU like L5420 that CPU draws about 50 Watts and the mainboard specs says the board allows to max 65 Watts TDP.
The latest bios available is the version 0018 (file name: AN0018P.BIO)

I was able to get the v3.17 bios lined up for pretty much all 1333/ 1066 Quad Core CPU's.
It doesn't support Pentium 4's or anything, pretty much only 1333/ 1066 Quad's and pretty much all 1066 variants.
It contains all 1333 microcode as well so its possible it could support 1333 quad's as well with the microcode added.

I tested Xeon E5405, E5450, and X5460. All of which didn't work. Maybe you need 1066 memory?
I think since chipset only supports 1066, it overclocks the bus to 1333 bringing ram up to about DDR2-1000.
I tested it and the Q6600 works, the Xeon dual core 3070, Xeon quad L5320.
I think it should support QX6800 2.93Ghz Quad as well.
Only need to enable Advanced Bios Menu. It's a different key combo, I'm sure.
There's an engineer advanced bios key combo for advanced options extras.
Though it's F1 to enter. On F10 Bios, it's CTRL + F10. On F1 BIOS, I have no idea. I tried many different combo's.
If you find out which one it is, let me know? It enabled Multiplier Control, Hardware Monitor fan speed & fan monitoring, C1E, StepSpeed, HyperThreading, among others.
The standard F1 BIOS menu is the "Basic" Menu.
