Hi. It is possible that the bios I can't install install windows 10? I try install windows 10 on asus x59sl. Always says error xxxxxxxx in safe boot. I try disconnect cd-rom,battery,wifi,drivers graphics card (radeon hd 3470) but it's impossible. I have installed windows 10 on virtual machine and is compatible. What's is bad on the bios?
( Microsoft says that can be the bios ). There are anyway to change and solve it?

I'm in so much trouble, I have 'bricked my mother's Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 laptop (model: 20324) after an unsuccessful bios update.

I think I may be able to flash the bios using a USB memory stick.

If I switch it on the white power light comes on but nothing else happens.  However if I hold fn+r while turning it on the light turns red and continues to flash.

The original bios was InsydeH20 93cn55ww(v9.5).64bit

Version 9.9 is available on the Lenovo website https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...&v3.8).exe
I extracted 93cn59ww.fd and used Andy's Phoenix Tool to find bios filename but it doesn't show it.

I've tried naming it bios.bin, bios.fd, bios.wph, ect but I have had no luck.

Please can anybody help me find the filename I need to rename 93cn59ww.fd to on the USB?  I'm in so much trouble!

I was wondering if there is a way to unlock the refresh rate on my Lenovo Y50 UHD Touch from 48hz to 60 hz and also to just to use the the geforce 860 as my main gpu. Thank you. Also the results.rar had some errors and shut down while it was doing its thing. It keeps getting an error and finishes.. I hope it still got what is needed.

Hi there,

I've tried to add a SLIC 2.3 to the latest Dell T7400 BIOS but I keep getting an error. 
I'm using AndyP's Phoenixtool v2.66 and cert and bin from MDLs repository (linked below).
Always comes back with "Program Payload Error" when run from DOS.
File size after mod is always 5KB smaller..?

The A11 BIOS I am trying to modify already has a 2.1 SLIC in it.. I am using Dynamic method but with all default switches (too nervous to try advanced settings, although I've seen a few posts suggesting this may help)

Can someone help please?

I have an Intel NUC D54250WYKH2.

I could build 80861559.efirom with https://rom-o-matic.eu/, " Advanced, for experienced users", "EFI 64-bit ROM binary (flashable) image (.efirom)", "PCI VENDOR CODE: 8086", "PCI DEVICE CODE: 1559". and "PROCEED".

But I really don't know how to get a modded BIOS with a IPXE Option ROM instead of the classic PXE Option Rom. I really prefer IPXE.

Any ideas?

was looking at the foxcon MCP61 and molded abit ( https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-H...ng-Options ) as it has the same chip set MCP61 and these are know for unlocking all boards but flashing using this command awdflash M613Z_19.BIN /py /sn /f /cc /cd /cp /wb /r gives the error unknown flash type.

-whats happens: does not post no output to monitor no beep error codes ( does the same thing with an x4 965 BE but that is an 125w part but that is expected to not work )

N/A as it wont post cpuz form different mother board is above.
-CPU spec code N/A

Hi,
is the Windows Version (Starter, Home Premium, Ultimate, etc) stored into Slic ?
I have an Acer Notebook which came with Home Premium and now i want to install Ultimate.
Is it possible (Activate with Acer Cert and Ultimate Key instead of Home Prem. Key) or do i need a new SLIC in Bios ?

I really need a pro's help with this. The Alienware 18 has support for using the GTX 980M in legacy mode in the latest BIOS A12. However, in BIOS A10, it did not have support for legacy boot with GTX 980M and required pure UEFI (no legacy option rom). Upon examining the code in the two bios files, they changed the following sections in the DXE:
