So I need some help with removing the whitelist check on my Bios.

Laptop details:

Manufacturer: Lenovo
Model: IdeaPad P580 (3087)
Bios Version: LENOVO 5ECN96WW(V9.01)
Bios Date: 3/14/2013

Hi everyone,


First post here, and also I'm a noob in this area (bios flashing). Hoping to get some help from you guys.
I want to change my old G wifi card to a N wifi card, and laptop wont boot up into windows.


Old WiFi card : 512an_MMW / Intel WiFi Link 5100

New WiFi card : 4965AGN MM1 / Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN

Laptop : HP Pavilion dv7-1125ef Entertainment Notebook PC / Windows 7

Bios : HP F.2D / 29 Nov 2010 / http://ftp.ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp68001-68500/sp68425.exe

SMBIOS Version : 2.4



Can you guys please tell me what tool is needed to do the flash, and the steps also ?

If any more information is needed in order to help me, lease let me know.. Ill be checking back alot !

[REQUEST] Need unlocked BIOS for shuttle bail-tray notebook motherboard

Hi!
I would like for y'all geniuses to unlock this BIOS for me. Its an aptio 5 bios for a shuttle based AIO motherboard that has an almost identical version used in a notebook. the AIO version has support for windows 7 legacy installation, but the notebook version dont. I forced the AIO bios into the notebook mobo and tested w7 on it. All went well EXCEPT the bios when used in the notebook doesnt recognize the internal keyboard as usb, and says that no keyboard is conected at startup. If I connect a USB keyboard it boots ok, even the notebook keyboard works.

So, what I need is for the DC8BT11.rom to not ask for a keyboard OR for the H14BT58.rom to show options regarding w7 installation. It has legacy boot options but it doesnt boot W7 as it says it doesnt fully support acpi. If the second is doable I would very much like it done on the DC8BT10.rom as well.

If it isnt something extremely hard to do and something that need to be kept secret I would love to know how it's done. I messed around with AMIBCP a long time ago just for fun in old bioses but I didnt even find a newer version of amibcp to use in aptio 5 bioses. And that is as far my knowledge of this goes.

Hi, I've been wondering.. is there anyone here who can unlock all possible features in my laptop's BIOS? Maybe just to start off with what I believe could be unlocked would be the option to disable Secure Boot in UEFI? I can't seem to change the option and it's fixed at enabling Secure Boot, hence me unable to install windows in uefi mode via USB. Any other hidden features that can be unlocked would be a bonus. Smile

P.S. I'm a newbie so forgive my ignorance of the topic. -_-

BTW I attached the the BIOS file I got from Acer website.

123K of Microcode?

i have read https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Intel-Dual-Core-E5200-on-Gigabyte-GA-945GZM-S2-rev-3-x

and it mentioned about 73k of Microcode to 123 of Microcode and that the 123 of Microcode can support a E5000.

i have the same motherboard and i had just repaired it from a broken pin. I tried installing a core 2 quad Q6600, the motherboard will not work with it's old bios. Will installing a 123 of Microcode solve my problem?

can someone tell me what cpu is supported for 123 of Microcode, i can't find it online.

Award Bios GA-945GZM-S2 with intel core 2 quad

I have a GA-945GZM-S2 motherboard, i am trying to update with a Intel core 2 quad Q6600 CPU.
This CPU is not in the supported list of this motherboard. I believe it is something like updating microcode, which didn't work for me.
Wish you can help me make a correct build of a Bios that supports this CPU. sorry for bad english Blush .
