Hi ive seen lots of good work here, i will apreciate if someone help me with my insyde bios. I have a Toshiba Satellite L855-SP5263KM
here is the link http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=3361171
Ive installed the ACPI Flash BIOS version 6.70 for Satellite C855/L855/S855. is the latest i think since 2013. Rev3.70
Just in case , I am in Windows 10 insider, dont know if Windows 8.1 file will work.

I was asking in this thread https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-REQUEST-Toshiba-Satellite-L850-BIOS-Unlock-Flash-Mod?pid=93578 cause it looks similar to my case but ive downloaded those files and none work, Can anyone help me? i want to change video memory and show advanced settings on my bios , with those files i tryed to install but this message shows "flash process will be terminated current platform have secure boot feature, it must provide NV storage location by IHISI interface. Please contact OEM bios engineer to add the feature " and finish with " if you understand the risk and still want to flash you can add the following setting in plattform.ini to ignore error [EngineeringErrorDisable] SkipSecureBootProtectionCheck=1 " ... I follow this and added that to platform.ini correctly, and then an error message says this Bios is not for your notebook PC. So im screwd

Hello,

I did some research and i modifed the bios file i got from toshiba site to my like. So the problem is i dont wanna flash it via windows. I am trying to find the key for startup flashing (the bios recovery) and i need help about it.

My Computer is Toshiba Satellite L875-137 PSKFNE using win8 Insyde bios.

What i did so far:
-Used Phoenixtool and found out that my bios file name should be FX64.FD (it was F8680.FD in the setup file)
-Put it in usb with no other files in it, turned the machine off, took out the battery and AC cable, pressed win+B, cable in and turned it on, released win+B when i see the windows screen.
-Same with win+f, Fn+B, Fn+F, And also with bios.fd filename and with CD. Also i probably tried lots of key combinations i found from google.

Hi everyone,

I've been reading forum for some time now and i've seen here are some very skilled people doing amazing things.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4106 (PSK0QU). Here is a link to the BIOS i use: http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/sk0qv220.exe

First of all i need to speed up fan a little.

Fan works all the time at 65% speed until CPU temp goes up to 67-68 C degrees than it speeds up to 80% and it keeps speed until temp goes down to about 55 C degrees.

What I want is to have fan speed at 80% when it reaches CPU temp 60 C degrees and 100% speed if it reaches 65 C degrees.

Another thing is in Bios Description on Toshiba Webpage it says in one place:

Version 1.70 - 2010-09-09
Limited the DDR3-1333Mhz DRAM speed to 1066Mhz.

I want that limit removed and my memory working at 1333Mhz speed.

The last thing is, if possible to have all hidden Bios menu's Unlocked.

With hope i'll get some help I thank you all in advance.

Using bios recovery method to remove dell bios admin password

Hello everyone,
I own a dell inspiron 5423(14z) which I very much bought with my own hard earned cash. Im a very tech inquisitive guy and a few months ago I decided to set an admin password, sadly I have forgotten this password now. I have scoured the net to find means to unlock the bios to no avail, with some sites demanding payment in return for the unlock code. the sad thing is I live in a remote place on the planet where we don't even have paypal.
Therefore my problem is this, can I use the recovery methods described on this site to force flash the recovery( as if it were bricked) just in order to get rid of the lock.
PS: I desperately need to change the boot settings in order to install fresh copy of windows otherwise my laptop is trash. However if there is any other method available pls show me how to do it. Thanks in advance Huh
im very much a NOOb so pls go easy on me

Returning the Intel HD 3000 graphics instead Radeon HD chipset GPU

Hello!

In last few days was try to found any BIOS patch or DSDT modification for ROM of notebook ASUS X54HR(motherboard in BIOS view identified as K54HR).

So. Radeon 7400M chip thats was hotly pined into motherboard was hide Intel HD 3000 integrated in CPU i3.

I have some reasons to run HD3000 and switch off Radeon graphics but i was used last 7 years OS X system and I like to use simple running Intel HDA.

The problem was found in Pins configuration and video ram model that defined possibility as GDD3 thats not supported in OS X(it can run only with GDDR5) and model of controller thats not really defined. It's maybe 6000 or 5000 or 7000 controller with unknown framebuffer.

So. I need any possible help with running the Intel HD 3000 inside my CPU.

I have a look into device list and found only activated 1c3a 0x8086 device:

$ -> 00:16.0 Communication controller [0780]: Intel Corporation Unknown device [8086:1c3a] (rev 04)

and any intel 0x106 or 0x116 or 0x112 is hidden.

Question: have any chances to do a BIOS modification and return working ability of Intel HD3000 integrated graphics?

I was try to find a blocking code into Radeon 6760 ROM but a ROM can't be downloaded from chipset with special firmware but ASUS motherboard is to ugly builded.

I was try to fix DSDT tabled code but Intel HD3000 not defined into it(only PEG0 and no any PEGP thats needed). Huh

Please ... Help me to return HD3000 if it possible(maybe it is not blocked by contacts of hardware). Original BIOS attached in post.

Hello all,

I have been looking around and have yet to come across a BIOS unlock specific to my circumstances. My laptop is an Acer Aspire E1-531 and the BIOS is Insyde v2.15. I am hoping to unlock the advanced tab so I can see what can be tinkered with. Any help on the matter will be massively appreciated.

Lenovo Y50-70 - pulsating/clicking fan problem

$

Hello,

First of all i want to apologize for my bad english Big Grin

So i have a problem with my unlocked/modded Lenovo Y50-70. The big fan does some weird noises around 40C. It sounds like a ticking old clock inside the laptop.

This problem only appears on (i think) all Bios Versions < V2.01. I dont have this problem on V2.01. A few days ago, i bought a new wireless card. So it was necessary to flash a modded Bios Version, cause Lenovo integrated a white list in their Bios Versions. But to flash a modded bios version it´s necessary to do a downgrade on bios version v.1.14 and on this version i have the pulsating/clicking fan problem Sad. I already tried to flash a modded v2.01 over a modded v1.14, but this doesnt really help. So my question is, whether there is an option in the advanced bios menu or something else i can do to fix the problem.

Thanks Smile
