Bios version F.29, rev 3.7
I read a lot of articles and recognize that this bios is EFI signed.
Someone said, that i can't flash this bios, cause it will be corrupted.
I need to edit some dll file to unlock advanced menu, but i can't find bios for my laptop.
Help me please to unlock advanced bios menu.

Hello everyones,

i have a old pc motherboard Abit nf8 with phoenix bios award.
My question is if possible unlock some values for a better overclock ,like bus cpu moltiplicator and other CPU/gpu stuff hidden
My infos:

Hello everyone

I am a newbie to this forum and BIOS modding in general, but I've been doing a lot of reading on here.

I have the Lenovo U530 Touch and I would like to mod the BIOS. I would like to unlock all the hidden menus (to disable the MSR lock) and remove the WLAN whitelist.

From what I've read so far, I have to:
exract my BIOS in windows
mod it somehow or get someone to mod it
and flash it using a hardware flasher to program the main BIOS chip

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Basically I need to know if these are the steps in a nutshell and whether or not I can flash through software as opposed to hardware.

Some help on modding the BIOS would be great too.

HP DV9000 BIOS flash gone wrong

I flashed my DV9000 with the latest BIOS. All went well and after completion it said it was successful and to reboot the computer. That's the last Thing I ever saw. Now when you turn it on all the media lights light up but nothing else happens. Black screen, no HD activity and no beeps. The DVD Drive does initialize but I think it does so on it's own.

I've scoured the web looking for info on how to recover the BIOS but I can't find any coherent instructions that don't generate more questions than it answers.

Here's what I know -

1. The only BIOS updates at HP are those that are executed from within Windows. There are no DOS based updates.

2. When I open these updates they contain no .bin files.

3. there are 2 .wph files that are the largest so I assume they are the actual BIOS files but to be honest, I really don't know. There are lots of other files but I have no idea what these are.

4. I have created a HD_TOOLS USB drive and have placed these BIOS files everywhere they can be placed and still I get nothing when I hold down "Win" + "B".

Does anyone know how the BIOS recovery is supposed to work?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello!
I have Lenovo G780, Model 20138, Bios 5ECN96WW(V9.01). And I have a problems with overheat in games. As I know if underwolt CPU, it's will be colder.
Can you please do something with this? Maybe, it's possible to open this feature in bios?

upgrade agesa version in AMI bios

I need a bit of help with an old pegatron APX78-BN made for an HP computer. I know it can support a Phenom II 95W processor as I'm running an x3 720 cpu in there succesfully. However I tried to upgrade the CPU to an x4 945 95W and get a CPU unsupported error message. The chip is the same as the 720 but with an extra core so I think it should be supported.

Im running bios 5.12 (the last released in 2009) which aida shows as having an agesa version of 3.3.2.0. The BIOS type is AMI. Is there a way of manually updating the BIOS (I assume using the agesa version) to support the Phenom II x4? Bios here.

Embed Widnows Product key and custom boot logo

Hello.

Im just looking at embeding a product key, custom logo and like computer info into a motherboard.

Gigabyte E-350 Motherboard

I just want to know if i can add the following

Windows 7/ 8 product key (so when I reinstall windows it dosent ask for it)
Custom boot logo like Acer or HP Has
Can i put in a manufacturer name like when you reload Sony laptops when it gets to the "PC Name" but it says "Vaio" in the box already.

Hello everyone
I envy a dv6-7320el with bios F.29, with HD 4000 video card and dedicated gt 635m 2gb, I have a problem though I have the gt set as the default, the games continue to see the HD4000, but I've noticed that by making the extension desktop in vga works gt635m, the quality of games, and much higher with this operation. and as if by doing nothing the gt635m was just a co-processor. there is a bios mod to unlock the gt635m?

Hello,

Last two days I had an adventure with my VAIO SVE1511NFXS when I was trying to unlock the bios advanced menu I found in this forum someone confirms unlocked version for my laptop, I downloaded it and flashed my bios, then I restarted my laptop and once it's shut down to reboot it's totally dead and shut down, then the laptop is not starting any more, neither via the power button nor the assist button, the laptop became totally dead! I tried every possible way to have my laptop powering but it's not anymore.

I took it to my friend who is working with laptop hardware maintenance, he opened my laptop, and removed the bios chip from the motherboard, and we tried to find an original full backup for my bios over the internet but we didn't manage!

we only found backup for the laptop model SVE15128CXS, both laptop have almost same specs, but not identical, we take the risk and flashed that one on the bios chip via his tools, then re-installed the chip on the motherboard, now the laptop is powering on, and running normally, but whenever I tried to enter to the bios menu it's showing only blank screen, and when I use the assist menus it shows that my laptop model is SVE15128CXS.

Now my laptop booting and I can use it, but it's not in the optimal state. How can I re flash my bios with the original version of the bios?

I tried to download the bios update which provided on Sony website: http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-downlo...roup_id=24

But it's not accepting to flash it giving the error that this flash it not for my laptop model (as the model number changed when we flashed the bios with different model bios backup file)

I can extract the file R0200E5.bin from the above Sony flash file, but don't know how to force flashing it! and if I did will it allow my bios to work again? or we should get full backup from similar laptop (which not looks to be easy unless if there is someone who can help)?

Also I have to mention that the full backup file which we flashed from the alternate model was sized about 8 MB, while the file R0200E5.bin which provided by Sony in the above link is only 3MB.

Any suggestion?

Hi!. I already tried these bios roms: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Re...AID-update but I am getting black screen after update. I'd changed microcodes on my own before update to use with xeon processors but with orginal bios with changed microcodes there were no problems. Shortcut of 4 and 7 pins of main bios rescued my mb. I am adding original bios, bios with changed microcodes and microcodes file.
Could You please add working moded bios with xeon microcodes and support for 3TB drives?
