I searched for 2 years and i didn' find anything. Updated it, downgraded it but results are same. There is no overclocking menu, secret menu etc. I need help. So thank you for looking to help me.

For experts! VAIO BIOS: flashing wrong bios

Hello,

Last two days I had an adventure with my VAIO SVE1511NFXS when I was trying to unlock the bios advanced menu I found in this forum someone confirms unlocked version for my laptop, I downloaded it and flashed my bios, then I restarted my laptop and once it's shut down to reboot it's totally dead and shut down, then the laptop is not starting any more, neither via the power button nor the assist button, the laptop became totally dead! I tried every possible way to have my laptop powering but it's not anymore.

I took it to my friend who is working with laptop hardware maintenance, he opened my laptop, and removed the bios chip from the motherboard, and we tried to find an original full backup for my bios over the internet but we didn't manage!

we only found backup for the laptop model SVE15128CXS, both laptop have almost same specs, but not identical, we take the risk and flashed that one on the bios chip via his tools, then re-installed the chip on the motherboard, now the laptop is powering on, and running normally, but whenever I tried to enter to the bios menu it's showing only blank screen, and when I use the assist menus it shows that my laptop model is SVE15128CXS.

Now my laptop booting and I can use it, but it's not in the optimal state. How can I re flash my bios with the original version of the bios?

I tried to download the bios update which provided on Sony website: http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-downlo...roup_id=24

But it's not accepting to flash it giving the error that this flash it not for my laptop model (as the model number changed when we flashed the bios with different model bios backup file)

I can extract the file R0200E5.bin from the above Sony flash file, but don't know how to force flashing it! and if I did will it allow my bios to work again? or we should get full backup from similar laptop (which not looks to be easy unless if there is someone who can help)?

Also I have to mention that the full backup file which we flashed from the alternate model was sized about 8 MB, while the file R0200E5.bin which provided by Sony in the above link is only 3MB.

Any suggestion?

Hi!. I already tried these bios roms: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Re...AID-update but I am getting black screen after update. I'd changed microcodes on my own before update to use with xeon processors but with orginal bios with changed microcodes there were no problems. Shortcut of 4 and 7 pins of main bios rescued my mb. I am adding original bios, bios with changed microcodes and microcodes file.
Could You please add working moded bios with xeon microcodes and support for 3TB drives?

Can i install different bios?

Hello. Sorry if my question is absurd. I have a SiS W76Sun motherboard. I was updating my bios and i tried to install different rom from different motherboard manufacterer. Phlash give me a option like "This roms manufacterer is different. Continue? (Y/N)" I get in risk and i pressed "y" It erased data, programmed data and than verify it too long. Then when verify finished it started from program and again. I shutted my computer and crossed my fingers then started the computer and it opened with old bios. I thanked god for that. Big Grin So if there is a way to install a bios from a different motherboards rom what are the risks and how can i try that? Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

Request for microcode update for acer aspire 5750-6423

I am a PC specialist and have what should be a relatively minor request regarding this already unlocked bios http://rghost.net/56989240 for the HM67 chipset. This is an insyde bios. The laptop will not boot with an Intel i3-3110M SR0N1 2.4GHz Socket G2 3MB cpu giving only a blank screen which flickers for a moment then halts. This is almost certainly entirely due to the fact the microcode for it is not present. I know with a fair degree of certainty this processor should indeed work just fine in this board and my colleagues agree. I'd be most grateful if someone could do this for me. I would attempt to do so myself but have no direct experience with this particular issue. I would much rather pop in my verified perfectly functional cpu than buy yet another 700$+ laptop for no reason.

I don't know if its helpful or relevant but these laptops are known to have a wireless WiFi whitelist that has proven to be a pain for others wanting to swap wireless chips. That was of course easily overcome. I doubt there would be a whitelist for cpus but who really knows what manufacturers are doing? Thank you for your attention.

Hello,

i'm new here and have unfortunately no idea about BIOS Mods.

I hope it give nevertheless people me here to help can?

My Problem:
I'm using MAC OS X on PC-Hardware, mean Hackintosh :-)
My Board is a:
GA-Z77N-WiFi from Gigabyte and i need the actually BIOS (Version F3: Link: http://www.gigabyte.de/products/product-...=4337#bios ) for working my Hack perfectly. But the new BIOS is loocked. I can't write in the NVRAM. The Version F2 is ok for me, but the OS detect my RAM wrong and show me in the System only 1 RAM instead of the installed 2. In the new F3 BIOS my RAM is detect perfectly.

But the OS or the Terminal can't write in the NVRAM
im try this: sudo nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:ProductId=Mac-F42C88C8
but after the restart the key is delete :-(

Sorry for my bad english ... i hope you can understand my problem and anybody can help me?

[Request] Gateway NV53 Whitelist Removal

Hello,

I'm trying to install an unsupported WLAN card to my Gateway NV53 (manufactured late 2010). I believe the bios is Insyde. I tried following the instructions in the stickies, but it is way over my head, frankly. I tried searching the forum, but found only a previous request. If I have missed the modified bios, my apologies. Thank you for reading/helping.

Hello there... I recently purchased a EVGA H55V mATX Motherboard and the BIOS seems to be limiting my RAM frequency and OC options and overall seems pretty basic (can't enable XMP, for example, processor advanced options, etc) Processor's an Intel Core i5-650

I Need to unlock setting with AHCI for SATA controller. I'm preparing to buy SSD disc and i've heard that i have to change my SATA slot for AHCI before installing new system on SSD.
