Hi, I would like to be able to have access to advanced options and if possible support more cpu types because I am thinking of upgrading the cpu, if this is possible could you add support for recent processors or tell e which ones work?

Also, if possible allow overclocking although I understand if it might not be possible.

Hi guys,

Recently, I bought a new Wi-Fi card for my HP Laptop because I'm running OS X. Unfortunately, my pre-integrated Mini PCIe card was incompatible. I heard a couple days ago, that HP locks their BIOS for deny other Wi-Fi cards. I haven't waited long.... Just after the boot my laptop said :

"Wireless Module not supported

The system has detected a Wireless module installed in the system is not supported. System halted. Please remove device and restart.

WLAN Module ID (702)

For more information... bla-bla-bla"

In one phrase : "I don't give a **** of your PCIe card". xD If someone can unlock my BIOS plz it would be soooo nice Smile I looked around the site but I was septic because it were not my laptop model. In the doubt, I prefer post my own thread.

Here's my PC specs :

Manufacturer : HP
Model : Pavilion DV6-6162sf => Link
BIOS Version : EDIT : I looked it in the BIOS => F.1A
BIOS Interface : InsydeH20 Setup Utility Rev 3.5

Original Wireless Adapter : Ralink RT5390BC8 - It have an integrated Bluetooth radio.
Wanted Wireless Adapter : Atheros AR5B93

Lastest BIOS Available : F.1B => sp55068.exe => Link

Please help me select in bios the "discrete" gpu only. Now i have "integrated" and "switchable" other lenovo laptops have "discrete" as a third option which disables the integrated intel gpu.
Also shared memory option for the integrated gpu are missing.
Is it possible to have the original bios and not his one made by lenovo because so many options are missing.

Hi!

I just bought Giada F102D http://www.giadatech.com/index.php?act=pShow&id=15

I am trying to install smoothwall firewall but bios is GTP mode but instead of that it needs to be MBR mode. I really do not know is this right place to ask help about this but I am trying Undecided Cannot find any way to change bios mode in bios setup options.

There is currently BIOS:

Phoenix SecureCore TianoSetup
BIOS version L6600015

I have HP TC4400, need replace wifi to N card. I have find at http://www.bios-mods.com/BIOS but can not because deleted. I download EZH2O to mod but have not BIOS in .fd format. So, pls help me:
- Clear whitelist for me. My BIOS is http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hp...token#BIOS
- Or give me BIOS in .fd format
- Or show me, how to convert BIOS in .BIN format to .FD format
- Or give me link to download Modded BIOS for TC4400

I am really needing help with unlocking my bios because I recently purchased a new dual band wlan nic and it came up with the dreaded unsupported wireless card. I do know that the newest update is the 44CN43WW and it is and AWARD BIOS. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,

I'm asking if there's a way to check if "cool'n'quiet" feature is really disabled in bios.
I'm using last bios update (2.90 from 03/17/09).
I've cpu throttling problem tested with CPUz.
I'm using Win7 64bit and I've already disabled its own CPU throttling option on advanced power settings panel.

I've open bios with AMIBCP 3.46, changing CPU Frequency from "No Refresh" to "Refresh" it will works ? I can see if frequency change ?

What means "Reserved" under Access/User column for "AMD Cool'n'Quiet" ?

Acer Aspire V3 771G 6485 need help with unlocked Bios

Hi guys. Need some help/advice.

So i did flash to unlocked bios 2.28 with recovery method all good.
I was thinking that when im gonna use unlocked bios its gonna let me Overclock my
Geforce GT 730 more. What i mean its the +135 mhz limit in nvidia inspector.
But i still have this limit and dont know what to do? I did see at some site some people did push the GPU to almost 1 Ghz.

I read something about vbios? where i supposed to get it? and what to do with it?

Thats my main concern.

Other thing is at advanced options in bios , are there options to change to get better overall perfomance / boot time etc?

Btw i did use Firecode95 bios.

I want to enable AMD-V Hardware Virtualization but the option is nowhere to be found in the BIOS. I know my CPU supports it, yet the option is not there.
