Tualatin Microcodes into Dell Precision 420

Hello everyone,
I got an old Dell Precision 420 Workstation some time ago which originally has two 1.0GHz Pentium III Slot 1 in it. I thought about making it a little faster and put two Pentium III-S 1.26GHz in it (of course they are Socket 370 but MSI has had some nice adapters for that). It starts up and I can go into BIOS (there the only "problem" seems to be that the cous are identified as "Pentium-II 1.26"), the SCSI utilitty also runs perfect but when it comes to booting from a harddrive it hangs up with an error "Alert! The current cpu is not supported by the rev of this motherboard. system halted" and you can do nothing against it.
I suggest that this error maybe comes up when there is no microcode for the installed cpus and as the chipset is an Intel 840, there was no support for the newer Pentium III Tualatins. Because of this, I have no donor BIOS for the Tualatin microcodes from Dell, maybe I can find a BIOS with the codes from another board manufacturer. Does it need to come from a phoenix BIOS? I might have a BIOS file from a Tualatin ready board which has an Award BIOS.
I really hope that someone here can help me out with that, this could be one of very few examples of running Tualatin PIIIs with Intels Dualchannel Rambus Chipset!

Acer s3 951 BIOS request InsydeG20 rev 3.5

hey everyone,

Im having issues with my Acer aspire s3 951. I have the latest official bios 1.18 (insydeH20 rev 3.5).

The problem is the fan control is always on 100% full speed or completely off if its under 40 degrees Celsius. There is no in between speeds, it seems like there is to much voltage going to the fan all the time so every time the fan is suppose to activate at say 10% its really spinning at 100%.

I tried a few programs but they only helped when the fan would turn on eg i could change it turn on at 70 degrees. But its still either off or on 100% even though programs says the fans at 20% or whatever.

So i was hoping there was bios version to fix this issue or that gave me control over fan settings?

hey everyone,

Hi, please help me, I need a bios modded for my notebook, I trying to change the max temperature frum cpu, but BIOS dont have this option. because I getting constant fps DROPS after a while playing games (reach 72 degrees, 15 minutes playing).

Hi guys,

Recently, I bought a new Wi-Fi card for my HP Laptop because I'm running OS X. Unfortunately, my pre-integrated Mini PCIe card was incompatible. I heard a couple days ago, that HP locks their BIOS for deny other Wi-Fi cards. I haven't waited long.... Just after the boot my laptop said :

"Wireless Module not supported

The system has detected a Wireless module installed in the system is not supported. System halted. Please remove device and restart.

WLAN Module ID (702)

For more information... bla-bla-bla"

In one phrase : "I don't give a **** of your PCIe card". xD If someone can unlock my BIOS plz it would be soooo nice Smile I looked around the site but I was septic because it were not my laptop model. In the doubt, I prefer post my own thread.

Hello, BIOS Masters,

I want to change my BIOS splash screen. It is a picture belowe, am I right:

I was reading on internet about this, and concluded that may be litle bit a dangerous. Cause that, I decision to ask you, gods of the BIOS, how can I change my "Toshiba Leading Innovation" splash screen with some my own custom picture, without possibility for brick laptop???

Serial NO: 88205975W
Dual Core 2.26GHz, 2GB RAM, 230GB HDD
