SATA/SAS & NVMe issues on nForce 570 MB

Could anybody help to resoolve the issue with SATA/SAS and NVMe adaptor cards in PCIe slot.
PC config: ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe/Phenom II X4 945/16Gb DDR2/Quadro FX570/Windows Server/vmware Workstation
The issues:
1) Adaptec 5405 - no HDD/SSD connected - OS boot is fine, card is available/no issues in Device Manager; any HDD/SSD connected - Adaptec BIOS - fine, MB BIOS - fine, OS boot - very long, the card is visible in devman, but in non-working status, no drives (connected to it)
2) OCZ RevoDrive3 - MB BIOS - fine, OS boot - fine, SSD read - fine, SSD write - system hangs
3) Samsung 950Pro (any NVMe SSD) in NVMe-> PCIe adaptor - MB hangs after POST, no way to enter into BIOS until removing NVMe

It looks like the issue with PCIe...
Any chance to fix it? I really need to run Adaptec with RAID1 volume on this PC...

Hello!

i have a sony vaio VGN-N350FE with MX-160 Main Board (1P-0071500-6010 rev 1.0) BIOS R0100J4
i try to install a SSD but don't recognize, somebody can help me?

i make a backup of my bios with Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0.

And i get the error: "platform signature not found in the interface" on DOS interface and Windows interface...

Fixing corrupted Dell Precision m4700 bios dump

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I have a Dell Precision m4700 workstation laptop with :
i7 3740qm cpu
Nvidia quadro k1000m
16gb of ram
While attempting to update my bios some sort of error occured and made it so that my PC will only boot up after swapping the ram sticks , that only gets you one boot and if you turn the PC off you have to swap them again. trying to upgrade or downgrade the bios from inside windows doesn't work either so I got a programmer and tried to flash my two bios chips using a supposedly fully functional dump I found online, unfortunately even tho I was able to read the chips and flash the dump without any issues, my laptop straight up refuses to boot now and swapping RAM doesn't help.
I'm thinking that the only way to fix this now is to somehow repair my original bios files so I have attached the dumps I made before the flash if anybody can help

Hi everyone! I have a HP 14dq1033cl but it does not have advanced options available. I have tried amibcp with some poking around this forum but the bios file it creates can not be flashed using hp firmware management or afudos. So I'll'll be grateful if someone can help me. Thanks!

bclk overclock, when I can open bios in pbe

Hi y'all,

SO I hope to mod a Dell r720 bios for a mild overclock (by upping the bclk a few mhz). I have been trying to work with phoenix bios editor 2.56, but I am unable to open the bios. The .hdr from Dell: [https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/...redge-r720] will not extract to the temp appdata folder, and my backed up bios.bin won't load, and the rw everything file is invalid. Hi all, I have a few questions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I recently bought a Lenovo G505s - Type 80AM (Model: 20255) with an AMD A10-5750M and dual graphics. Windows 8 is installed (for now).

Can only a stock BIOS image be flashed internally on this PC?

Can I flash "83CN53WW_v3.00_clean_BIOS.bin" and/or "83EC53WW_v3.00_clean_KB9012.bin" from https://github.com/g505s-opensource-rese...roprietary internally?

If I want the advanced settings unlocked do I need to flash externally or could the Recovery Procedure flash it?

I just bought a CH341A Mini Programmer from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32725360255.html for ~$2 AUD but it may take a long time to arrive from China.

The laptop came with
BIOS Version 83CN12WW(V1.01)
EC Version    83EC12WW(V1.01)
and I wanted to update to
BIOS Version 83CN53WW(V3.00)
EC Version    83EC53WW(V3.00)
which is now done but for some reason, I had to use the Recovery Procedure to get the BIOS updated after several apps failed to work.

Fn+R with VALGCX64.fd (and .bin and .rom) on a FAT32 formatted USB stick plugged into the right side port worked for me. I don't know if the extension or USB port matters but it might.

I tried FLASHIT 1.3u that I found on https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Welcome-FAQ...t/p/278406 but all it'd do is say "Error:Not support AT-p information CL Regisry:0x2"

I then found InsydeH2OFFT_x86_DOS_100.00.08.18 from https://www.insyde.com/downloadcenter on https://www.win-raid.com/t4631f16-Insyde...l#msg76187 which only partially worked.
When I ran H2OFFT-D.exe from FreeDOS it said:
Insyde H2OFFT (Flash Firmware Tool) Version (SEG) 100.00.08.18

I decided to press Y and then it updated the EC but not the BIOS.

Even the official Lenovo Windows flasher "winflash(3.00).exe" wouldn't update the BIOS, it showed the BIOS Version as INVALID, the EC Version as 83EC53WW(V3.00) and an error message popped up. What could cause these errors? Could it be a bug in the BIOS (versions prior to 2.05 have a CPU bug for example)?

Hello  edit box seems broken to me so i try to explain the situation without typing too much errors

i have 4 lenovo desktop computers delivered from non profit organisation, they are mandatory to have specyfic splashscreen for the entire contract time and it is not up yet we upgraded them from windows 7 to 10 and then installed the newest bios this summer (windows still during the initial promotion but that irrelevant) and bios update erased the custom splash screen foundation has inserted into the computers
even though lenove privides a logo update program the program does not seem to work in any provided version (dos, windows, or boot cd) i mean it compresses the image fine but later says it can't upload it because it has issues with the bios flash
i discovered bios update program and the bios logo update programs are two different ami flashers, one used to flash entire rom, the other used to flash selected part, being the logo but it  most likely fail to locate the specyfied area because lenovo made sme changes inside of the bios itself
is there any chance for any of yu to help with that?

Swift SF314-41. Problem with new bios 1.07

Good morning. I have a Swift SF314-41 notebook with AMD Ryzen 35000U. For the sake of completeness, I would like to point out that I added a second HD SSD in 2.5 format where I installed ubuntu and changed a bank of 4 gb of ram with a 16 gb one and now I have a total of 20 gb of ram (17 of which are usable).
Windows downloaded the BIOS update to version 1.07 a few weeks ago.
Since then the problems began, which manifest themselves only with windows, not with ubuntu.
In particular, with the PC not connected to the current, these problems occur randomly:
- BSOD (rare)
- WIFI network failure (frequent).
Everything is fine with the PC connected to the mains.
With Ubuntu everything is ok.
I downgraded the bios to version 1.04 and the problems are gone, but windows alone updates the bios to version 1.07 immediately.

Have others had such problems?
How to solve?
Could Acer fix the BIOS bug?
I tried to write to technical support and they told me to send the computer in for service. But why should I if it's a BIOS problem?

HI
I have corrupted bios with my laptop and  black screenI would repair the bios chip but didn't find Bios Bin file for my laptop in Acer website because it's impossible to recovery or update bios with normal way.
I tryed  writing with EZP programmer with bios bin file for Acer E5-772G ( Brook BH mb 14276-1M 448 04x09.001M) but didn't work.my motherboard is different without graphik card(Brook BH mb 14276-1M 448 04x08.001M).

Hi @DeathBringer, Sorry for necro posting on this thread, recently had an HP PRO 3330 MT with bios 7.07 in my possession with code h-popeye-h61-uatx v1.00 on the side of the ram slot, currently has a G620 processor installed and upon testing with an i7 3770, it would not boot, already tried updating bios from HP website all resulting to errors saying incorrect bios for system, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello I wonder if anyone could help me unlocking this BIOS (want to change vBIOS size, cpu turbo...) that is very limited in options. I've tried opening it with amibcp, mmtool and uefitool but or can't be opened or can't find the optios to change. I'll be thankful for any help

Hi, I have been searching and reading sections after finding this forum and reading so many materials in the past two weeks and would greatly appreciate your help

My Lenovo 730S-13IWL 81JB0007US does not boot after updating bios (8hcn36ww) through Lenovo Vantage, nor access Recovery Environment. Lenovo refused to provide help except pointing to the listed bios on the server where only .exe is available. With the the instructions in many posts, I was able to get the original version of bios in .exe and locate the .cap file as well as the WinFlash64.exe inside. That's also when I was able to identify the Phoenix UEFI. Not sure if I am right, but I think that I could use a bootable usb to run efi, but culd not figure out a way to flash the .cap file in the environment.

Good day guys, I recently got an egpu and connected it to my mini pcie slot using beast dock.. The problem is now its not detecting the egpu. I've tried hot-plugging and attaching it, but still doesn't work. Then, I found that the prob is with the whitelist.. I'm still trying to figure it out so if there's anyone here who can help.. Please provide a solution.
