MSI A6200 (1681) bios menu unlock [REQUEST]

Hi,

I want to unlock AMI bios menu, I know the CPU I installed in this laptop can do more. Have advanced power settings for i5 450m, change settings such as power on when power cuts out and stuff like that, just the full menu with settings. I need the laptop to return back on when power is lost. The settings visable are useless..

Need this sucker to run headless under my closet for my TV & media.
Got on the board flashed 1681IMR VER.10B, I can dump it if you need. I also will dump the rom as back-up just in case.

Tried AMIBCP, UEFITool, MMtool. not able to open up the bios region with any kind of editor.
I just need it to work but MSI decided I don't need 90% of all settings that are in proper laptops like Thinkpads for example or pro workstation.

Version I found online because it's a MSI what do except from MSI. its a garbish, trash..
Got another MSI here, only a couple years old, support from website is removed, have fun searching for old drivers and bios updates when the manufacturer drops support !

BIOS BACKUP DG31PR PRG311H.86A.0071

Hi! since Intel removed the original BIOS from their intel motherboards and the flashing tool I figured it maybe would be appreciated if there were some backup of it online so people can flash back to bios stock if necessary, so by chance I found the BIOS I've downloaded a few months ago from the intel page. It's the latest BIOS for DG31PR (PRG311H.86A.0071) along with the flashing tool provided by them. With these files I've also included the microcode patcher provided by @DeathBringer because it was helpfull for me, I Hope he's ok with this. if not I can reupload only the stock bios if moderators consider it to be helpfull.

Hi! Lost_N_BIOS

I want request to unlock my tongfang rebranded Bios.
I've checked your posts in win-raid. but this 2080mq version rebranded laptop is not in your win-raid post list.
here's the bios that i dumped by using FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin . and i've test it by flash it back to my bios it work.

Upgrade CPU T6400 to QX9300 on MOBO N80vb Chipset PM45

There shouldnt be a problem upgrade a 2 core cpu machine to a 4 core cpu on the same motherboard. Other than upgrading the Bios.  RAM should still be compatible for the same type of CPU.  Penryn models Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 to Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme QX9300.
However, they have a difference of FSB 800 to 1066 MHz and power consuption 35W to 45W.

This link (http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chi...press.html) says that my MOBO is compatible, but it´s not working.
After changing the CPU and starting the PC it does not give a video signal and a few seconds later it turns off and restarts on the same black 
screen and freezes, but the fans are working all the time.

I think it may be the BIOS that needs to be changed for the Quad processor, but I'm not sure and And I don't understand much about BIOS

Please, if anyone can help me I would be very grateful. This was my first notebook and I really like it. Big Grin

X550CA modded BIOS

Hi everyone,

I unlocked most options in my Laptop's APTIO4 BIOS.

Many of them still don't show up despite being unlocked, but e.g. the iGP clock can be changed now.

It was created using user (b)ios' manual here
(thanks for that)

Hello, 

I used to be able to access my bios advanced and power menu with F10+A to change lots of minor settings to improve my performance. I ended up updating the bios since when I put the Internal GPU aperture size to 2048, my system didn't want to start.

I don't remember the previous version of my Insyde bios, but currently, I'm running the rev 5.0, f.48 and now when I try to use the same key combo to access the advance settings, the two menus are both hidden. I then tried to use Fn+tab 3 times in bios, reboot and go back but no success.

This is the bios update I used to update the laptop: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp100501-...100949.exe

Any help would be greatly appreciated and feel free to ask any questions.

Hello, dear users. I am writing a translator via Google, so I apologize if something is not right. In general, I got a Fusitsu D2841-A11 motherboard, G41 chipset, fully functional, all dual-core processors work fine. After installing the Xeon E5430, the board starts, but it displays a message that this microcode does not support this processor. The following is an attempt to boot Windows and reboot. Tell me, is there a BIOS mod for this motherboard? I did not find it on the web. I’m attaching a screenshot from CPUZ. Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I am not entirely sure if this is the place where I should make a request, but I will give it a shoot. So...

It's been quite a while since I got my HP Pavilion DV6-6b78el laptop. A beast (back then) with i7 CPU, 8GB RAM and 6770M GPU.

Since I got it I had to change the WLAN card 3 times, the blower (cooler) about ... 7 times and the entire case underneath it's falling apart. And after all these years it's still kicking. It's alive but without a proper wireless card and I would like to fix that.

I've got an Intel Dual Wireless AC-7260 but the bios seems to hate it. The WLAN module id (702) common error.

I know the chances are probably very slim but can anyone mod this bios?

The laptop bios version is Insyde F.1C but on the HP website the latest version seem to be F.1B - sp59755.exe

I don't understand why this laptop has F.1C and not F.1B

I tried to flash mod BIOS to my Dell Inspiron 7586 2-in-1 with a CH341A programmer to unlock advanced bios menu.

However, any modification to the BIOS region will make my laptop not POST.   It seems that Dell has a built-in security check to
prevent users from using mod BIOS, which I don't know how to bypass it.  
Could any experts on this forum teach me how to bypass this security check?
