PackartBell TS11HR key behavior change

Hi. i have PackartBell TS11HR. Im already using Modded bios for Acer 5750G (which is also P5WE0121 as my PackartBell) by Akbar.
Everything works well.
But, i have installed Aspire 5810t backlit keyboard. I would like to use that keyboard layout. (like Home key, PgUp, PgDn, End, fn keys...)
because they have all special keys differnet.
FN + arow up on keyboars should be vol+, and PdDn key should be pgnd. but now fn+arrow up dows pgup, PgDn appears like vol+.


and on top of it, packartbell has different layout as Acer on same bios file. (even logo is still packartbell)
so even im using Acer bios to have at least little bit better keyboard layout, nothing changed.

Can be keybard layout of Aspire 5810t used in TS11HR?

Dell Dimension 5150 Core 2 Duo Support

Hi there, I'm new here and I have to say it's a wonderful community! Right, I have a Dell Dimension 5150 with an 82945G Express Chipset Family which supports the Core 2 Duo chips. However Dell seem to have locked down the BIOS to only support Pentium 4 chips in my experience. I have the latest (A7) BIOS revision, I've tried various Pentium D and Core 2 Duo Chips and only the Pentium 4 works. Now I'd like to ask if it is possible to have microcodes injected into the BIOS to support my Core 2 Duo E6750? Also, if it's possible some LGA 771 Xeon microcodes. Cheers! Big Grin

Hp 250 G1 flashed now showing as Pavillion Dm6

Hi All. 

I have a Hp 250 G1 which had failed a bios update so i flashed it with the usb ch341a tool using the latest bios version F.45 (https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65001-6...p65084.exe)

After a successful flash the bios now shows the model as a Hp Pavillion dm6
It works as it was prior to the flashing.

I would like to sell the laptop but am worried about the bios showing the wrong version? 

Is there a way to change the model within the bios file or is there another version i can use?

Corrupted HP BIOS

Some time ago, my HP Pavilion TouchSmart 20-f394 All-in-One Desktop PC suffered a bad BIOS 
update and won't boot.
I tried all the things on HP's website to try to recover the BIOS, but none helped.
I attempted the Award BIOS Recovery, but that pc doesn't have a floppy drive, so I attempted to do it on a USB, but it doesn't work. 
I also attempted this method on a CD, that also doesn't work.
Is there any other way to recover the BIOS without buying a new motherboard?

Hello 
I have a HP G42 214BR notebook.
But, it is not accecpting a wi fi card intel dual band (whitelist) using version sp49478.
I found here bios whitelist working (sp52604), but it´s version is overheating my computer.
I read in hp support site that the version sp49478 works better without problems.
Can anybody help me with this version (sp49478 - https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp49001-4...p49478.exe)??

[REQUEST] AMI 5.011 Haier Y11b unlock request for 2nd M.2 sata

Hey people of bios-mods, I have a Haier Y11b laptop which have 2 M.2 2242mm slots. So I recently purchased a 2nd 128gb M.2 sata ssd but upon installation, I came to know that the bios can't recognize/access the "2nd" M.2 slot. 

This laptop is running AMI 5.011 uefi 2.4 bios. If anyone of you can fix/unlock the bios, it would mean very much to me as I always wanted to dual-boot this laptop with two ssd's.

Also there is no advanced tab. in bios settings. I have read some tricks to show them but they don't seem to work in this thing. Like I recently wanted to turn off CPU Virtualization but there is no option in bios. Anyway, the SSD unlock is the priority here.

If anyone is willing to unlock it, it wil be very helpful to me and many to other users of this laptop. I'll provide the information you need in no time. Thanks a lot.

Help to unlock and modify Tyan S7012GM4NR AMI bios

Hey guys

Do anyone know if it is possible to unlock and modify the AMI bios on a Tyan S7012 dual cpu motherboard?

if someone know how to do this i would be so gradefull. i dream about overclocking but there is no setting in the bios under cpu that allow me to change anything, multiplier, volt, blck, fsb, core speed and bus speed.

all options runs automatic and i search all over the internet to find some knolegde about this board and bios, in the end i found the forum Smile  What a place it is Smile  with a lot of bios experts. maybe there is some experts that know a bit about this bios and board, it would be so nice Smile

Request for whitelist removal Thinkpad E135

Hi everyone,

An old Thinkpad E135 needs an other wifi card because the original one doesn't support Linux.
  • Lenovo Thinkpad E135 (machine type 335967G)
  • AMI BIOS version 2.58 (allready installed) : https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/hmuj10ww.exe
  • Original wifi-card: Broadcom 802.11n Wireless Network Adapter (FRU 04W3761)
  • replaced wifi-card: Intel Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 (FRU 60Y3195)
Is this information enough for whitelisting the BIOS?

Administrator BIOS Reset Password: HP 17-bs153cl

Hi,

I hope I am doing this right. I need a BIOS reset password. I regret setting my administrator and power-on BIOS passwords. I know my power-no BIOS password which I use daily. However, I forgot my administrator BIOS password which I need to reenable VT-x virtualization.

I got a system disabled code of: i 85826178. It would be most appreciated if there is something I can use like a reset password or a BIOS reflash. I upgraded my BIOS and the firmware thinking that would work and nothing - I still need a password. So a reset password would be nice.

Hey guys

Do anyone know if it is possible to unlock and modify the AMI bios on a Tyan S7012 dual cpu motherboard?

Dell XPS 8910 Kaby Lake CPU Possible?

Hi everyone, I have a Dell XPS 8910 with a bios revision of 1.1.9. Now what I want to do with this machine is take the i7-6700 that's currently in this computer, and use it in another computer, but I don't want the Dell to go waste so I was wondering if it was possible to mod the BIOS to support an Intel G4560 Pentium gold? I tried putting it in the Dell but it refused to power on. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

[HELP] Can't enter BIOS anymore in lenovo Z580

Hello,
I have a Lenovo Z580 with a dual boot between Windows 10 and Arch Linux in UEFI Mode using Grub. My BIOS version is the latest one "5FCN95WW".
This morning, I wanted to install Arch Linux with Anarchylinux-cli to test an encrypted setup (I never did that before).
As I wanted to keep my internal hard drive untouched in case something goes wrong, I installed it on an external drive connected through an USB port.
Installation with encryption went well.
I rebooted my computer after the installation process ended.
In the freshly installed Grub menu from the external hard drive, I selected Anarchy entry (Grub had explore all my systems on the 2 hard drives). There were an error during boot so I rebooted and then selected Windows (also from the Grub installed in the external hard drive). It did boot successfully. So I shut down the computer normally.

Then, I wanted to make Grub in my internal hard drive to be the first entry in UEFI settings. I disconnected my external drive and powered on my computer. But then, it was strictly impossible to enter BIOS. It is usually F2 key. "Fast boot" is disabled in my windows settings, I checked it multiple times.
Every time I turn on my computer, Windows is loading though.
Using the "NOVO" button to boot the computer show me a little menu. Every option is getting Windows to show up. I can't launch Lenovo recovery, nor boot menu or BIOS setup.

I tried the windows recovery option to reboot to the UEFI setup. But it did reboot to Windows without going to the BIOS menu.
Re-flashing "5FCN95WW" is not possible using the .exe from Lenovo because I am already on this version (maybe we can force it but I don't know how).
I tried to downgrade using this method but I have windows blue screen due to WinFlashSys (or something) crashed and then the computer reboots.
I tried the method of Wincris.exe  using the 5FCN35WW.wph file because "5FCN95WW" exe package is using a .CAP file and Wincris uses only WPH files (as I understood). But when rebooting with "Fn + R" the computer reboots 2 seconds later again in windows.

I don't know what to do. I think my BIOS is completely messed up and I can't find a way to flash another one nor recover it.

Can you help me please?

I have a CH341A with clip. Is it possible to flash a functional BIOS with this ?

i have an i3 550 and i want to buy a Xeon x3440 or X3470
