Hello ! I'm new in this forum, but i would want to unlock for laptop advanced menu in bios so i could turn off Hybrid graphics.
All info provided, plus i have added screenshots of bios (hope it helps you)
Don't know if can downgrade Bios version but if could then would go lower version and help you unlock bios easier.

And if works then I'm happy to make a donation!

hi, I am new to the forum. Can someone unlock the bios for me. My problem is the amd a6 7310 apu is downclocking during games which is affecting the fps. Maybe through unlocked bios I could modify some setting to stop it from happening.

Hello there!
I was getting disappointed at my LG's bios, but finding this forum was like finding new hope. Idea 

I have an LG A410 laptop computer, with InsydeH2O bios completely locked. Dodgy I'm trying to activate the "Intel VT-x" option. My processor has support for this technology, but there is no such option in bios. Undecided Searching a lot here in the forum Big Grin >https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Unlocked-LG-A510-bios-thermal-control-menu-unlock< I found a bios compatible with my notebook, but in it was added only "temperature control".

Hi,

What's the current state of modding the firmware of current generation ThinkPads? Is it possible (at least with a flash chip programmer)?

Most of the threads here seem to be about older laptops. Did something change in newer ones to make modding harder/impossible?

Dell PowerEdge SC1420 support for the Tulsa beasts?

I got this system and did some checking, it has the 7520 chipset which is one of maybe three chipsests which support the Tulsa beasts. Been thinking about getting some 7140M and do some tests with modern system and applications just for the fun, they are dirty cheap in the US (like 6 bucks for real - for 2c/16t Netburst with 16 MB of L3! and it could maybe run two of them) but from what I found, when ppl put it in just like that, it did not work. No wonder, the CPUs are much newer than the chipset itself. Dunno if there is support in the newest BIOS, it is in attachment. Would it be possible to add it if not?

vivobook pro N705UN backlit keyboard ?

Hello,

Sorry for the language because I am french! .I would like to know if the BIOS for Asus VIVOBOOK PRO N705UN could unlock for the option backlight keyboard.
Indeed, my original model (N705UN-BX066T) is not equipped with a backlit keyboard. I ordered and installed the keyboard equipped with the backlight (original and new Asus), installed the tablecloth backlight , ATK driver and .... nothing.
Nothing either during boot, and I checked several times, the keys fn + keyboard top keys work well except fn + f3 / f4 (backlight).
Which leads me to wonder if it is not at the level of the bios that should intervene to activate or unblock the option for the backlight ?.
Current bios version 306.

Bricked x230, can I use bios from another x230?

Hello,

Just got well preserved x230 that won't boot after bios update. Owner have no idea what went wrong and just bought new machine.

I have available CH341A programmer and can make backup of bios image from my own x230, but I am not sure if such image can be used on another machine?

Hi DeathBringer, can you add the Xeon W5580 support to the HP Proliant ML350 G6? It currently does not work, no beeps or otherwise. Works fine with E5530 x2, and E5620 x2, but not single or dual W5580.

This is a microcode problem, not a chipset problem.

hi guys, im newbie around here so if i make a mistake by doing anything sorry for that already.

my problem is i use this laptop and i dont know why but its fans run all the time even when i dont push it to the limit. 

i sent it to the service but i guess they didnt care too much and they sent it back to me and said nothing is wrong.

anyways i cant change the fan speed by using speedfan or etc. and also i cant do it from BIOS either.

and because of that im asking you guys to modify my bios to unlock that fans speed control section. this is all im asking for.

Ciao a tutti, sono venuto a conoscenza per caso di questo forum, e ho subito notato la ricchezza di contenuti e la gentilezza di amministratori / utenti per aiutare gli altri utenti.

Vorrei chiedere una mano.
Ho un computer portatile compaq cq60-400sl in cui vorrei attivare la modalità ahci, purtroppo non è previsto attivare questa modalità nelle impostazioni del BIOS.
C'è qualche tipo di sblocco bios o un'immagine già sbloccata da caricare sul mio laptop in modo da poter abilitare la modalità richiesta da me?
Mi scuso se l'argomento è già stato trattato o qualcosa esiste già.
Ringrazio tutti per il loro aiuto e ogni consiglio.

Modify BIOS default settings

Hi all,

hope to get some help on this: I need to change some BIOS default settings permanently, so they remain after the BIOS resets (reset due to an empty BIOS battery, this happens occasially at customers due to non usage of the notebook fo several months). Here's some info on the device:

Notebook: Acer TravelMate B116-M
BIOS type: Insyde 
BIOS download link (BIN & EXE): link

I have three main questions. First, is it possible to modify the following default BIOS settings?

Second, I have an issue with the boot mode. There's Windows 7 running on the device, so the boot mode must always be LEGACY. Although the default boot mode is LEGACY right now, it still happens that the boot mode switches back to UEFI, after a BIOS reset. Acer support couldn't help or isn't willing to. The solution would be to remove UEFI mode from the boot mode selection I guess. Is that possible? Or is there another solution, so UEFI will never be chosen?

Third question: If the settings can be changed, how would I proceed?

Hi everyone. I have Samsung NPE500E5A notebook and it have i3-2330M cpu. I want to add support to i5-3230M and upgrade it. I already have i5-3230M cpu. When I plug it only black screen shows.

My HM65 mainboards latest bios firmware is 09QA.
