upgrade cpu on sony vaio

Hi, I have a sony vaio vpc f11s1e/b

my cpu is i7 720qm
i want to upgrade with i7 920xm, but the laptop doesn't boot with this, the screen stay black

I'm suppose I should hack bios for support
how does this ?

Hello friends.
I have tried but unsuccessfully to remove the list from my bios to use an egpu through the Mpcie port. If anyone can help me to remove bios lock or whitelist, I will be very grateful.

model of notebook > Hp DV5 2231br

I got a Modded BIOS and it seemed to work, after 2 boots my laptop bricked. First I can't get my hands on the BIOS by Acer and second I have tried using both Win and B, function and escape but the USB does not seem to read. I need my laptop for school and I don't have the money for a new one so if i can't/ don't get it fixed I'm. fucked

Hello, im new here. (Sorry for my Bad english) i have a question like my Second Board from a Medion PC (MS-7748) im Read in Internet that Board has a Whitelist with Supportet Graphicscard. and Yes my GTX950 from PNY dosn't work if i Set in Bios to PEG or aUTO its Boot without Beeps into Windows or Bios with the IGP. and in Device manager my Graphicscard is not Listet :p (Card working in my i5 Build) is it Posible with a Bios mod That the Card Runs ? i have the AMIEditior but i Really dont know how to Put the card into the Whitelist. can any one Help me?

I want to get my BIOS fully unlock, I just up graded my CPU to an i7 2760QM and I realized I can not even used a quarter of its power, I want to get access to overclock it.

my laptop was originally a: hp pavilion G4 1384la
my BIOS: insyde F.66
SMBIOS: 2.7
platform ID: 166b

Hi all,

I have Acer Aspire 4752G come with i5 2450m and i'm planning to upgrade the CPU to 2nd-gen i7 2820qm or 3rd gen i7 quad core (whichever supported on my mobo). My question is will my motherboard support these cpu? do I need to add microcode to the bios for cpu support?

Hello I'm hoping for an wireless whitelist removal for a fairly uncommon laptop.  I've been browsing around for the protocol to follow here so I could provide something useful to start with but many BIOS extraction tool links I see are dead.  I've run SLIC Toolkit to determine which BIOS type it is, which is Award.

One problem I'm seeing is that Lenovos BIOS updates are either packed into an exe or an oddly formatted iso so I'm not sure how to get the ROM or how to flash a modified one after.

Acer V3-771G Brick Bios Help

Hello

I broken my bios very bad... I was trying to upgrade bios from 1.01 to 2.28 with the DOS method. Since by default it doesn't allow you to do that, i changed some parameters (/all and another one to skip the offset check) It flashed till the end with no errors but after restart i get the black screen.
Then i tried to do the Fn+Esc for the Crisis Boot but my power led won't blink like in the normal situations described. 

Can anyone please advise me why they crisis boot isn't working? What can i try more now?
