Restoring bios with SPI programmer

Hi, I'm going to restore my tablet's bios with a CH341a after an unsuccessful update, the bios .rom file is the full bios image of 8MBytes and the bios chip is 64MBit (8MByte), what will happen to my Windows 10 stored product key (MSDM) and other information specific to my device?

[REQUEST] Envy 14 2000 Unlock hidden settings

Hi guys, I have an Envy 14 2000 CTO and I want to disable the discrete AMD gpu since it was broken and use the Intergrated Intel gpu instead. I'm using the Intel gpu but the screen doesnt display the true resolution,it is stretching, but when I took the screenshot and sent to phone, it looked fine. I disabled the AMD gpu and the Intel gpu is showed with yellow error icon in the Driver manager, I want to disable the AMD gpu in bios to see if anything happen. So can you guys help me out here pleaseeee Sad

Hello guys, I hope everyone is having good time.please guys bear with me because I just registered in this forums today, I would like to remove the whitelist so I will be able to connect my EGPU, I have found another user writing about lenovo z480 which is my laptop but I found the download is restricted though I have the same BIOS version which is 5FCN34WW can anyone help me?

Hi! Guys,

I got numerous troubles with my wlan card, but because of the whitelist i can't replace it.
So I need help to remove this bloody whitelist. Angry

-Manufacturer: LENOVO
-Motherboard Model: Thinkpad E330 3354-2B8
-Bios Version 1.13: H3ET76WW
-Bios file backup made with FPT on windows 7

Currently my laptop run with a Realtek RTL8188CE Wlan Card (VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_819510EC&REV_01) and I would like to replace it by an Intel Centrino N2230 Wlan card.

Acer 8735ZG / Packard Bell DT85 :) Request

Hello!

My first thread so go easy on me. Read the stickies and hopefully didn't miss anything.

I have a packard bell dt85 which is the same board as the Acer 8735ZG I have found.
I have been searching for a bios with all the menus unlocked for my bios. There is some talk about a 1.07 bios mod that I haven't been able to flash. Hangs on platform signature on winphlash and "Initializing platform"

I had a pretty funny flash experience with the 1.10 mod bios for Acer 8930g which for some reason flashed correctly with /Force with phlash16.
Back on official packard bell now and been trying on my own to unlock the menus but sadly haven't succeded. Sad
Found all the settings in the phoenix tool but couldn't save them and repack bios. Probably missing Andyp slic tool to finnish it off?

Now I'm asking you guys to help me out, or rather AHMED HOSSAM.
DT85 uses both ROM and WPH for flashing but I can't figure out how to flash both or to modify them correctly for flashing.
Do help me out :p.

Had a request before but nobody helped then, hopefully I can do better? :p

Samsung R560 upgrade

Hi! Don't know if this right thread.
I want to do a little updgrade for my laptop.

1) I will put 8 gb ram (easy part)
2) SSD (do it already)
3) Change CPU
4) Use egpu. (not easy but understandable) 9600M is good but DX10 is pain and I have suspicion it's dying.

My question about CPU. I have P8600 CPU Penryn / Socket P. BIOS is latest of. (as I know) 09LA.7027.20081209.JJC.
I thinking about upgrade it to P9600/P9700 - will it fits (bios recognize it?)?

But it will be great if I can upgrade my CPU to quad Q9000/Q9100/QX9300 but it's 45W.
Also WIKI says "Notebook Core 2 Quads are designated Socket P' [sic] and are not pin compatible with standard Socket P motherboards".
Will it fits? Do I need to modify bios for those? Also do I need to replace my 90W PSU to 120W or it's not necessary?

Remove Lenova M91p whitelist

Hello Everyone,

Would anyone be willing to assist with removing the whitelist for video cards in the M91p bios? Current bios is the 9HKT58AUS bios. If there is a generic image that should work for this PC I would be willing to give that a try as well. I have attached the .rom used to get to the current bios version.

Intel Virtualization Technology - Samsung Zeus - 60

Hi guys,
I own an old Samsung Server computer called "ZSS108-N-SMB1" and it came with a generic mixed brand motherboard "Zeus - 60 R 1.07 G (Rev. MP 1.2)".
I tried to flash my modified version (with Virtualization Feature) of its BIOS using Phlash16, but suddenly my UPS battery caused a power short and system suddenly powered off.
Then it isn't booting and keeps showing "Please Wait....." in BIOS screen.
This motherboard hasn't official BIOS Updates from System Manufacturer - SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD because this isn't produced as a separate motherboard and came with an old server desktop model of theirs.

However, as I am lucky, I kept a backup of the worked BIOS version using Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0, to use for re-flashing in case of a BIOS Corruption like this.
Worked and factory flashed BIOS for this motherboard is 0ABX.5156.20070124.HJU which they flashed on 1/24/2007.

I need this BIOS to be modified to show the hidden Intel Virtualization Technology Feature [Enabled / Disabled] option.

This motherboard has this feature, but it is hidden by default, I say because strings related to it can be seen in "STRINGS00.ROM" file.
In this BIOS, offset for “Intel® Virtualization Technology” menu is "39 13"(1339 in endian format). [Checked and 100% Sure]. It is a Pick Field Menu.

Now, I lost my modified version of BIOS because of the power cut happened, and my USB Drive is also dead suddenly. Sad
When I trying to flash original BIOS (Backed up by me) with Phlash16, it keeps giving error "File Open failed on BIOS ROM file" and Motherboard Buzzer outputs beeps like "An acute long beep, three short beeps".
But, actually my BIOS file named "BIOS.ROM" exists in my bootable DOS USB Stick.

Please tell me what is causing this Phlash16 Error and also add Intel Virtualization Technology Feature [Enabled / Disabled] option into the "CPU Control" sub section in Advanced section in this BIOS.
