Lenovo B50-30 80ES WIndows 7 ACPI problem

Hi together!

After obtaining a used B50-30 I tried unsuccessfully to install w7x64pro, it always ran into an ACPI error before installation dialog.
Boot error 0x000000a5 acpi
I can only choose w8 or above for BIOS optimizing.
I also tried disable secure boot and disable UEFI and enable legacy.

My question, is there any hidden ACPI or W7 menu in this actual and original BIOS?

Hello, I would like to ask for your help to do that I could overclock video card, because now as I go into the BIOS settings, there is no normal. Bios picture looks like:http://www.part.lt/img/a471d5926ccad1c3f...dfd687.jpg

I would like to do as well as on the other I overclock everything and to give rise to the top of the settings is as if it does not go for something That galymėtu change the video card memory.

Dell Latitude 3540 BIOS incompatible with Windows XP

I recently purchased a second-hand Dell Latitude 3540, which came with Windows 7 Ultimate already installed.  However, I would like to install Windows XP Pro on it, but when I tried to do so the installer went to a BSOD with error code 0x000000A5, first parameter 0x00000003:

   Stop error code 0x000000A5 - The bios in this system is not fully ACPI compliant.

According to the Microsoft website (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/314830) this is due to a problem with the BIOS, with parameter 0x00000003 specifically indicating:

Quote:This error is defined as "ACPI failed must succeed method." This error occurs if ACPI cannot build a control method to reference the ACPI namespace. Other arguments for this error reference the ACPI object that was being run and the name of the control method. One greatly simplified explanation (which might not be completely accurate) is that the system cannot find a way to get to the ACPI tables that define the Plug and Play and Power Management capabilities of the system.


I've never come across this problem before and I have previously managed to install XP on various machines, including a Toshiba L150t-A-145 which has a very similar spec to the Latitude 3540.  I have contacted Dell support and they have told me that the BIOS (version A10) only supports Windows 7 and later, and that they won't be releasing a BIOS that will support XP.  So my question is: does anybody here know if this laptop's BIOS can be modified so that I can install Windows XP Pro on this laptop?

[request] xeon x5675 support on dfi lanparty dk x58

Hello everyone,
I have a little modding project on my dfi lanparty dk x58.
I wanna run a xeon x5675 on it like on other x58 motherboard, but there is no bios that supports it directly.
The latest bios does support i7 980x and xeon of the w3xxx series.
Iam not sure if its possible to make it work and i guess it might be quite a bit of work. Anyway here is the Information:

Bios: see atachment (this is the latest one and might have use for the community since the official dfi website is down)
what happens: motherboard does not post and just shows a black sceen
cpuid Revision: 000106A5h
Microcode of the new cpu : Rev. 0x0000013

Sadly i could not find the official files from intel for the microcodes, but for example the asus p6t ws has support for the xeon cpus. The bios for those boards can be found here:

Iam Interested in bios modding myself and even if noone can mod it iam still thankful for any tips someone can give me to make my board support this cpu.

i have dug throughout the forums and found only a slic 2.1 mod...i need AHCI enabled to benefit from the 750 Evo SSD installed 

if any other settings could be unlocked, like everything else..that would be helpful as well

I modded a bios for MSI z97 pc mate with dell slic using andys phoenix bios.  I used all default settings.  i used module and it said it completed successfully.  Can someone test to see if it works.

Hi All,
Have new VN7-592G with hidden Adevenced Options and Power Options pages.

Trying to modify bios 1.11, found:

Code:
0xB45EA Suppress If: {0A 82}

Used EFI shell to boot laptop but couldn't modify 0x258, by setup_var, got msg that it can't change variable.
Tried also setup_var2 which list 2 values for 0x258 instead of one, one named "Setup" second named "Custom", and it modify only"Custom" value, which don't do anything. Couldn't change this custom back to 0x0 so flashed back whole bios by Acer tool.

Now wondering:
1. Why some ppl have yellowe letters in efi shell, I had white, wrong efi shell?
2. What software would allow me to manually change variable in .fd file, so I will alter use Acer tool to flash bios instead changing in it one value?
3. Any other options?

Hi i have a modded version of 2.30 that contains the Non-Z OC Funktion!
Asrock has officialy removed it! Sad
Now there is a new Version out, 2.50!
And my Question is, is there a way to implement these Funktion into the new 2.50 Bios?!

I would be very grateful if someone can help me because i am a noob! Smile
