Hello Friends,
I have thinkpad S230U Twist 3347-6UU. Factory configuration had msata SSD 24 Gb. All worked well.
System is Windows 10.
Then I wrote unlisted 3G modem Gobi 3000 (1199:9013) to the BIOS whitelist. I didnt remove WL check, I've only changed listed modem Ericcsson (0bdb:...) to the 1199:9013.
Modem Gobi works, succesfully connects 3G UMTS network.
but laptop doesnt go suspend mode: it sleeps but in few seconds resumes from sleep.
Event viewer shows "Resumed from suspend: Unknown reason".
when i remove 3G modem and install msata ssd (and nothing more changes), suspend mode works well.
Express Cache software wasnt ever installed on my laptop. Rapid start option (that uses ssd) disabled in BIOS.
I removed 3G modem and tryed to boot with empty msata. During boot laptop said "error ..... detectig..... press ... to continue", Windows loaded, but suspend mode also doesnt work (sleeps and wakes in few seconds)!!
Taking into account that, I suppose that hardware configuration is strictly writed in the BIOS.
Laptop has 7-digit Model Number 3347-6UU. Lenovo bios flashing software allows to change 3 last digits.
3 last digits mean hardware specification and differs depending on factory hardware intalled in the laptop.
I found factory laptop configurations with 3G modem instead of msata ssd: their model numbers are 3347-AC5, 3347-5TT, 3347-1B1.
I tried to change that model number in the lenovo bios flashing tool, but nothing changes, and BIOS still shows initial model number 3347-6UU.
How do Your think, if it reasonable to try to change model number in BIOS and / or may be try to find procedures that works different depending on the model number.
May be if model number suppose msata ssd, some BIOS procedures (that system use for suspend?) dont work correct without msata ssd? And if I change model number to one without msasts ssd, that procedures will work correct?
