Hey guys,

I want to change my wireless card of my lenovo u330p from Intel Wireless N7260 to AC7260. After changing the Wireless card i get this message "Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI network card". I want to remove the whitelist to use the new card. Can someone help me please?

LENOVO IDEAPAD U550 ACPI BSOD PROBLEM

Having problem with this laptop-cannot boot existing win7 os or install the other one. Always get bsod A5 --
the BIOS in the system is not fully ACPI compliant


Lenovo Ideapad U550
bios version INSYDEH20 23CN21WW
KBC version 03.22

After some researching, i get to this point:
-at lenovo support page there is NO bios update for this laptop or any other bios---weird  Huh
-also know that the existing laptop came with win7 home premium os preinstaled, so the strange thing is that now can not be instaled or run
-with setting existing bios to default, no success
-through hirens usb i back up my bios with universal bios backup toolkit, and with rw portable i get rw file--not sure that the results from that are true
-i think i need mod for this bios and i need help with it--i understand that must be done with Phoenixtool256 but not sure to do it (having fear that i might brick the laptop with that)
- also think that the problem with this bios is that is acpi 2.0 (guessing i need 2.1)

[Request] Lenovo Ideapad Z585 whitelist removal

Good afternoon all!
My notebook is not booting, write error "Unauthorized Wireless network card". I cut off in the BIOS and remove the card - there is not booting.
I have searched all the threads regarding the Z585 and could not find any mod BIOS.

I am attaching my BIOS here. I removed flash and download data with HW SPI Programmer.

Could someone please modify it - whitelist removal? Thank you so much.

Cannot boot after BIOS update (NEC/Lenovo laptop). Tough issue.

Hi,

Question to BIOS gurus. Completely baffled as to what to try next, any advice highly appreciated!

In a nutshell:
After BIOS update:
a) BIOS doesn't save any changes, apart from time and date
b) BIOS doesn't see the internal hard drive, but sees USB drives.

What I had before:
  • I had TPM initialized and active
  • Secure Boot to Windows 10 with bitlocker
  • Supervisor password on BIOS
Specs:
  • AMI BIOS (Aptio 5, apparently) 
  • i7-5500u, NEC-built/Lenovo-branded laptop (Lenovo Lavie Z)

Issue started after:
  • I did a bios update, but (not sure if anything of this has contributed to problems)
    • didn't turn off bitlocker and secure boot
    • accidentally only reflashed the main block
Symptoms of the issue:
  • BIOS is reset (expected)
  • TPM Support is showing as Enabled, TPM state is Disabled&Deactivated. https://goo.gl/photos/61ABiKQTnocyM5Uj9
  • Boot: Legacy mode (was UEFI), Hard disk is showing as question marks https://goo.gl/photos/GtkwJSiDxCbycBoj6
  • No changes are saved, apart from date and time.
What I tried to fix:
  • reflashing under win (recovery drive) and dos; all resulted in "43: Error -- problem erasing flash" regardless of the bios ROM i'm using
  • attempted to do the "emergency USB recovery" by pressing Win+B, Control+Home, Home, Fn+R, Fn+B (both on internal and on external keyboard) when powering up and putting the ROM as original filename (763A0400.ROM) or AMIBOOT.ROM. Never worked.
  • Disconnecting the battery and CMOS battery did reset system time, but hasn't fixed anything.

[REQUEST] Lenovo U310 Touch Wifi Whitelist Removal

Hi,
I have a Lenovo U310 Touch with the famous WIFI whitelist.  I am trying to install a Centrino Model 622ANHMW Advanced 6200 dual-band adapter.
I tried a number of different BIOS flashing guides online with no success.  I was able to flash from the 65CN98W to the 65CN99W bios but was not successful in flashing the modified version I found online.  I have not been able to create a backup of my BIOS as none of the utilities, including Universal Bios Backup Toolkit 2.0, have worked.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance, Thanks!

GPU and VRAM test?

Hi, maybe i have fryed Nvidia GPU on my laptop, after any driver install, i becoming bluescreen.
I have Lenovo G580 and GT635M.
Only way to solve this problem was disable this graphics in device manager.
Now i have disabled it in BIOS, because after win reinstall, Windows 10 installed nvidiadrivers itself.

I want to know if exist some bootable tools to test GPU and VRAM, like MemTest86 for RAM.

hello i have cheap tablet that come with windows 10,
i wanna try to install windows 7 but i need to get rid of the secure boot in the bios,
also i need to add slic table and i see this as a big problem,

this tablet is very cheap in my area (240NIS)
