ASUS r900vb bricked bios !

Hello all in advance and thanks for all the help...


Asus r900vb, motherboard zay90 la-a681p.
Problem is that my brother in law somehow flashed for his known reasons bios to the latest from asus web site, K95VBAS.209....
Now I think he corrupted his bios flashing it either trough USB 3.0, or something else went wrong black screen on post...
It surely works and everything fires up....But no screen...

I own EN25T80 and I use CH341A software...Since it's been a long time ago I used my programmer, forgetting thing seems irrelevant Big Grin, can you please help me out on this...

Downloaded bios file from asus web site is in .208  .209  formats. I did make a backup from the chip itself and it's somewhere around 8mb file.... Downloaded file is around 4mb.....
What am I missing....
When I try to load the file to ch341a software since it;s not a .bin. file it simply does not recognize it... Should I just rename the file to .bin. or am I suppose to somehow convert the file to .bin.
Seems there is a trick with thees new UEFI bioses or am again to old and did not follow a build up of new upcoming bioses...

I'm worried about difference in file size between the one I backed up from chip and the one I downloaded from site.....
What am I missing .... Thanks guys....
Chip is winbond 25q64fvsig.

And ya I read something about flashing bios-es with programmer you actually loose or of data about mac address etc...
Can someone with more knowledge instruct me what am I suppose to do or just link me to step by step hard flashing bios with programmer..

It's and smd chip, so I de soldered it from the motherboard and it's soldered on my pogrammer.. I can read/erase and program the chip... !

Hi to all!
Is anybody kind enough to look upon my Fujitsu-Amilo pi 3540 bios and try to unlock it ,mostly because i really want to disable EIST in order to use the Dual-IDA capability of the T9900 PROCESSOR(great core2-duo by the way)and give it a boost of 200mhz per core in multithread tasks and games,i use gtx650 as external gpu and the processor is struggle with multitask.
Trying by myself for long time to mod this bios(even triyng to track EIST in nvrm registers using SYMCMOS)but i failed every in understanding all the information Sad .It is a pheonix bios.this is the original bios from fujitsu web page

Acer V5-131 bios unlock

Hi,

I would like to inform you that i upgraded the processor to intel pentium 2127U from celeron 1007U from my Acer V5-131.
The process was difficult because it requires BGA station and skills to replace such processor and at the end successful.
I have a single problem: My laptop switches off automatically exactly after 30min. It is like you remove completely the supply. I understood from internet if my chipset doesn't support the processor will shut down automatically after 30 min. My chipset is HM70 and U2127U is included in the processor list supported by this chipset. Do you think that i have NM70chipset? When i flashed last bios with FPT i've seen there NM70 Express Chipset... It is the same with HM70 ? Because if NM70 is not supporting 2127U this is the reason why my laptop turns off. I understood from other people in this forum that the bios can be unlocked to remove this issue. Can somebody please help me? FPT shows NM70 express chipset, bios chips are W25Q32BV and MX25L8005.

Lenovo has just released a newer version of its BIOS for the T420 (v 1.48)

Can someone please help achieve the following?

- White-list Removal - WiFi & WWAN
- Unblocked AES
- Unblocked advanced menu
- Unlocked memory speed
- Unblocked AES_MSR_0xE2
- Latest version of Intel vbios

Hey guys, I have a lenovo y50-70 with a intel 7260 wireless card. The previous owner unlocked the bios, but I dumbheadedly flashed it for a newer version...
The stupidest things is that I need the laptop in a week or so for my exams at school, so is there a way to do it before Then?

I updated to v3.03 from the lenovo site

Bluetooth not found.

Hi. I have Lenovo G580 with whitelist removed from my bios. I was using BCM43142 and Wifi+BT was working.
When i tryed to change to BCM4312 wifi was working, but bluetooth only in legacy mode (in usefi mode it was not detected)

Now i deided to make hackintosh, and i buyed this wlan card (BCM43225): http://www.ebay.com/itm/271868978244?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

wifi is working, but bluetooth is not working. In legacy mode is not detected too.
I taped pin 51 on wlan card, and nothing... i tryed pin 20 too.

On ebay in BCM43225 description was written: "Not compatible with HP/LENOVO/THINKPAD".
I asked for that, and i get this reply:
I have check this card is an general version card it could not compact with any IBM or HP version laptop,
In normally the wireless card have three version: general version,IBM version and HP version.


So, is there any way to get bluetooth working?
And what is difference between General, IBM, and HP versions?
Is there some pins swaped or anything like that?

Hello guys I just recently installed a SSD drive into my laptop, but my bios limits me to only change boot order and change legacy from on to off. I can't do a thing in bios. I was wondering if someone could help modify my bios so that I could enable AHCI? Or is there an easier way through the registry?
This is a American Megatrend Bios btw.
