Unlock BIOS - Acer Aspire 5750G [Insyde]

Hello All,

I have the following laptop:

Acer Aspire 5750G
Intel i5-2430M (Sandy Bridge)
Acer JE50_HR, V1.21 dated 08/09/2012
Intel Sandybridge Rev09
Souhbridge Intel HM65 rev B2
Samsung 850 evo 256Gb SSD 
2x Corsair CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL10

I understand my BIOS is a Insyde H20 and version 3.5 according to the BIOS screen

The original bios comes in 1.16 1.17 and 1.21, the Acer website based on serial number does not show versions 1.19 and 1.21.

The only BIOS link I have seen is the Akbar 1.19 and 1.20 and 1.21 but most of these links are dead and people are complaining of their fan not working or other issues like stuck after saving changes etc.


What I Want

All I want is to RUN 16GB on my laptop and exploit any performance or battery improvements, currently both Windows and BIOS only read 8gb (one slot of the RAM) and at that, it shares this with the onboard graphics card.

I hope someone can recommend me a way to achieve the above, even if it means flashing a unlocked BIOS as long as there are no serious issues like overheating GPU or CPU because fan control is not working (dont want to install a third part s/w to correct the fan control).

Hi Bios Gurus,

In desperate need for a modded version of the BIOS for the HP ProBook 4320s notebooks.  My primary school has just inherited a pile of these, and the default Atheros AR5B95 thats in them is just horrible.  Would love to swap them with Intel 5100's, as they're much better and cheap, but the b@stard BIOS is whitelisted.  Have has a squiz and found one version that was apparently modded, but it bricked one of my notebooks Sad

BIOS is 68AHH.BIN, latest is F.60 Rev.A(30 Nov 2015)

Original WLAN card is Atheros AR9285 - VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_3040103C&REV_01

Latest version is sp73928, although previous versions have been sp67225, sp57762, sp54636, sp52011

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated (and of course, if I brick some more, its my own fault, no-one elses  Wink )

Hi, i've got this system:
Motherboard: Foxconn rs690m03-2.0a-8krts2h
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800
Ram: 2GB
I tried to update the bios to a modded version (R02- B1) to unlock overclock, but the system doesn't boot anymore, if i remove the ram the motherboard beeps, i tried the Award Bios Recovery with original bios on a USB Flash drive 'cause i don't have a floppy drive, but it doesn't work, i don't know the key to start the usb (like windows+b, windows+home, ctrl+f9), i need help.
And if is possible i need a stable modded bios like R02-B3 'cause a lot of link aren't working anymore. Thanks
P.S, sorry for my english, i'm italian.
Plot twist: isn't an Aspire m3100 or a m5100, is a Veriton M410

i have a Latitude E5420 any i plan and oil cooling it and installing a ssd. But first I would be glad if i could over clock so that is why i have come here.

Hi! I'm using laptop Sony vaio VPCF21Z1E 3d edition with CPU core i7 2630QM. I was upgraded it to CPU Core i7 2860QM. My laptop started normally after upgrade CPU, but when I am playing FIFA 16 or GTA5, the games were very lag. After, I changed 2860qm to 2630qm, I played FIFA 16 and GTA 5 normally with no error. I want update bios for my Vaio but in homepage of Sony UK, there are no Bios update for Sony Vaio VPCF21Z1E. My Bios is in 02/10/2011. Please help me!

Hi, I've been sitting here all night trying to figure out how to unlock the advanced features on this BIOS, its well outside of my skill level though.
The problem is, HP decided to permanently enable AMDs cool n quiet feature, it cannot be turned off, meaning that my CPU cannot clock above 1600mhz, it should be able to reach 3200mhz, but wont under any circumstances.
Is this even possible to fix? can somebody please help?

Model: HP Pavillion 15 n267sa
CPU AMD A8-4555m

I'm looking for the advanced menu, specifically the cool n quiet option.

Option ROM for Dell Mini 1010

G/E, BM. i currently have 3 BIOSES that i need to have unlocked/modded so i can use the Sata Options. Everything works, but w/o the use of AHCI/RAID..an SSD is slower than molasses in February (laughing)..Dell didn't even put an option in for AHCI, so the BIOS will also have to be reprogrammed. the latest version for the BIOS is A11..& there are only the basic functions..no kind of advanced settings. now there COULD be a MOBO (motherboard) that has options for SATA, but i seriously doubt it. The BIOS is Phoenix. I tried using the Phoenix BIOS editor, but I saw no kind of advanced tabs..so if anyone can help out..or show me the way, I'd be most grateful. Thank all of you in advance. Need ROM so P5K-PRO can detect SSD

Hello

when I plug SSD scandisk extreme pro 240b onto Intel ICH9R sata on my Asus p5K-Pro MB the bios does not detect it. I think I might need to flash later version of BIOS and ICH9R controller?

if you think that will solve my problem can anyone make such a modded BIOS for me?

I was using bios version 0601, then tried to flash v1303 which did flash but it wont even recognise my raid 0 array let alone the SSD

Bios downgrade Samsung NP350V5C

Hello,
I noticed my laptop have a problem with low fan speed. It decrease performance against speed up fan. I turn off Pasive mode cooling and Silent Mode but still the same. I never noticed this at older bios. My current bios is P10AAL. I found older P06AAL but if I want upgrade/downgrade I have got a message " The system bios is newer version than the update". Then I tried extract bios rom from exe file and use afuwin. When I extract I get biosec.rom and setup.exe. I tried use biosec.rom with afuwin but I get a message Firmware size does not match existing file size. Could anybody help me?
In atachment is bios P10AAL and P06ALL in exe file just like at Samsung Update Firmware page.
P.S. Meaby someone have Samsung NP350V5C with any different bios than P10AAL and can backup it and attach at this thread?
