[REQUEST] AMI BIOS F.24 on HP 15-f215dx

My computer has an AMI BIOS version f.24 and the computer is an HP 15-f215dx. I had a look at the BIOS reps and i did find my bios number and my laptop.

Can someone plz help me with this , i need to acces my advanced settings so i can do a school project.

I would apreciate the help.

Hello,

I wondered if someone here could update the BIOS for the Gigabyte GA-G1975X to properly support the 3.73GHz Pentium D 965 SL9AN?

According to Gigabyte's website the board does support this CPU with BIOS version F4 and up, but I have installed the last official F6 and it is still not properly identified. The BIOS identifies it as a 3.28GHz CPU and only clocks it up to that speed. I have verified this with CPU-Z. CPU-Z reports the correct CPU name and speed, but only shows it running at 3.28GHz.

Hi,

I would like to upgrade the ram in my toshiba satellite a205-s5000 computer, problem is the BIOs does not support more than 2GBs of RAM. Could someone release a modified BIOs for the toshiba satellite a205-s5000 that can support up to 8GBs of DDR2 RAM? For now I will be upgrading the laptop to 4GBs of RAM but in the future I plan on getting 8GBs of RAM for the machine as this is my work computer.

Hey there to all the community... I'm a total noob in bios modding, but i'm willing to read endless posts to achieve my goal. Just need someone to point me to those posts and unleash me (?
The thing is, as the subject says, I'm looking for a way to unlock (or add) the UEFI interface to my Asus M5A88-M motherboard, which comes with integrated graphics. My ultimate goal is to make an AMD Hackintosh running Clover in UEFI mode, without distros.

Bios mod to Replace 9500m gs with 9300m gs

Hello everyone. Sorry for the long post, but it was necessary in order for me to fully explain my problem.
So here's the story, my 9500 M GS on my Asus M50SV died a few weeks ago and I just bought a 9300 M GS to replace it.
The laptop turns on and I can hear the bios chime, but there is no video signal sent to the screen or via the dsub port.
I know from exploring my bios in AMI MMTool (3.26) that the original bios version 207 can only recognize 8600M gt and 9500m gs as well as an ati graphics card.

That being said, I wanted to add a module to my bios, so I started by extracting the 9300M gs module from the M50VA's bios (same age laptop that came with the 9300M GS). So far, everything was going well.

When I tried to insert the module I extracted into thz m50sv bios, things got complicated. In fact, it would appear in the list with «POST» as module name, is that normal?

So all that beng said, here are my questions
-how do I add the 9300M GS module to my bios?
-once this module is added, how can I flash my bios with the modded rom? I heard about blind bios flash, booting while holding ctrl+home etc, but didn't work for me. Is there another way? Keep in mind I have no video signal, and that all the work I'm doing on MMTool is being done on another pc

I need to unlock the BIOS of my Sony Vaio laptop. So far, I used BACKUP_Tools12.exe and the results are attached in this thread. I also used Universal Bios Backup.exe but I get an error message saying that it doesn't detect the BIOS. Is this all I need to do? What else should I do?

Modify Phoenix intel 440BX reference bios

Hi,
Here's what I'm trying to do:
VMWare ESXi uses the reference Intel 440BX bios for Virtual machines. The actual 440BX.rom file is hidden way deep, but extractable and I have it.

I have Phoenix Bios editor & was able to monkey around some with it.  Nothing of any use, but I can make changes & boot from the modified file and see my changes.

VM's have a Vmware SVGA adapter, which is stuck as the primary GPU that the VM boots from. I am successfully passing through various PCIe graphics cards, but the VM will always boot to the VMware SVGA adapter.  On many other bios's I have the option to set the primary or boot graphics adapter, but not in this bios. Theoretically, I should be able to use "vga" capabilities of an added PCIe graphics card during install, and have full capabilities once the OS is installed & I install the driver.  I have been able to disable the "onboard" vga,  but the VM boots to blank screen both in the MKS & an attached display.

I would assume that other BIOS on real hardware that allow primary GPU to be selected must query the card somehow & load something from the card to enable it. Just a guess.....

Is it possible to MOD this bios to add this feature? I have seen other mods for this bios, but mostly to facilitate M$ activation. What I need is obviously more complicated than that, but I'm hoping someone already has some familiarity with this bios.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, so much so that I would be willing to pay for a rom that does this

Bios Recovery Help Wanted

I have an HP dv6z-3000 CTO Special Edition. I flashed a modded BIOS (F29) to give advanced menu and remove whitelist. This worked however I changed the GPU to external PEG and restarted. Now I get black screen. The keyboard lights but the control lock key flashes 5 times then pauses and does it again, over and over. I have searched every forum I could find. I have tried every bios recovery method I could find but using the windows key and b does not do anything (set up various USB recovery methods). Is there any hope of recovery? Any assistance would be great.

Hello!

I've found some request for whitelist removal on this forum, but my laptop model is different (I believe it's 59344049), so I decided to create new thread.

Here is my spec:
Lenovo g580: i3110M(HM76), Intel HD4000, 8Gb RAM(upgraded), Win10 x64
BIOS: 5ECN42WW (v.4.01)

Wifi whitelisted card: Broadcom BCM943142HM (PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365)
Wifi to install: Atheros AR5B95

Made BIOS backup using "fptw -D bios.rom -BIOS" (https://github.com/LongSoft/FTK)

I had error 104, but I edited fparts.txt file and got .rom file

I recently updated my lenovo B490 from lenovo support installation went good but after restart it won't boot.

All i can see is black screen !

Anyone can help me provide B490 backup file so i can do the bios recovery ?
