I have been googling and doing trial and error for a week trying to unlock my bios using amibcp for a week with no luck. I have successfully change some of my defaults and flashed but when it comes to making the hidden menus available I have struck out. Seeking some professional help before I really mess something up lol. I have attached my current bios.

Need help modding Lenovo G50-80 BIOS for DVMT setting

Hello guys, I'm trying to edit the BIOS in order to change the DVMT setting to 96MB rather than the default 32MB.

Just so you know, I'm currently running the B0CN75WW version of the BIOS found here:
B0CN75WW

A newer version also exists:
B0CN79WW

Initially I extracted the .exe file then I used PhoenixTool in order to extract the PE32Image in SetupUtility then I extracted the EFI using the Universal EFI Extractor Tool, I used the EFI text file in order to figure out where the DVMT setting is and then used HxDen in order to edit the PE32Image, this all worked fine I was able to change the default setting from 32MB to 96MB.
^ Verified the above by using the same method whereby the extracted EFI text file showed that the default is 96MB.

When I tried flashing the image I got an error message: InsydeH20 Secure : Error Invalid Firmware!!!

I'm stuck at this point.

Any Ideas?

What I tried previously:
Using setup_var in order to change the settings however I got an Error: 0x000000000000001a.

-This PC came in with a BIOS version of B0CN40WW regrettably I updated to the newest version which I believe is protected or something Sad

[Request] Toshiba M45 BIOS Mod

Hello everyone, I hope this is the right forum for my BIOS. It is a Toshiba BIOS, but after looking around, apparently it was made from Pheniox BIOS. My Laptop is Toshiba M45-S2653. It has BIOS 2.00 on it now. Windows 8 Does not work since the BIOS does not allow XD bit, however, my CPU (Pentium M 760, 2GHz/533) does support both PAE and XD bit. Is this a possibility to mod the BIOS and get it working? I will provide info as needed.

Good day, I would like to unlock or remove the whitelist from my laptop.

-Model: Pavilion G6-1354sr
-Motherboard Model:1670

-Replace card (AR5B195): PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_1461103
-Bios Type: Insyde

Current BIOS version is F.42(sp60864.exe) but it can be updated.
Available versions from HP:

F.65 (sp59558.exe)
F.64 (sp57333.exe)
F.63 (sp56874.exe)
F.62 (sp56298.exe)
F.52 (sp55717.exe)
F.41 Rev. A (sp55451.exe)

Please remove whitelist from this BIOS.

Can't flash Dell BIOS Update even in DOS

I have a Dell Inspiron 15R-5537 notebook and Dell has recently released a BIOS update for it, version A09. This update has some important fixes. Current BIOS version is A08. This update is for Dell Inspiron 14R-5437, 15-3537 and Inspiron 14-3437 models too. As you may know, Dell BIOS updates are .exe packages which can be installed in Windows or through a bootable DOS USB drive.

I tried to install it in Windows but the flasher says this message: "NOTICE!! Running on an unsupported system". Nothing happens (it's supposed to reboot and flash the new BIOS firmware) and the only option is cancelling the procedure. I was able to flash the new firmware from version A06 to current (A08) without a problem, so this is the first time this is happening.


Dell states that you can also flash new BIOS firmware via DOS, and so I did. I installed FreeDOS (1.1) into a 4 GB USB drive (formated in FAT32) with two different applications:


1) using Rufus 2.2 (FAT32, MBR/BIOS etc.)


2) UNetbootin (Diskimage option) + 1.1 FreeDOS .img file. I choose Option 4, "Load FreeDOS without drivers".


And then I moved the update file (5437A09.exe) into the root folder of the USB driver.


As I have Windows installed in UEFI Mode, I enabled Legacy Boot and disabled Secure Boo. Then I choose to boot with USB drive, and then FreeDOS starts. I enter "5437A09.exe" and then a message shows up asking me whether me to start the procedure with [Y/N], so I type "y". 

Unfortunately, nothing happens, and it gets stuck, even after very long. Then I have to enter Ctrl + Alt + Del to reboot the notebook, and I was lucky it didn't brick it, probably because it didn't actually start the flashing procedure.

So, I woud like to ask you if there's something else I could try, because this BIOS update has some really important fixes. I don't believe I'm doing anything wrong, I really have no idea why it's not flashing the new BIOS firmware, either in Windows or in FreeDOS. Thanks in advance.

I have a toshiba L500-13T with Core 2 Duo T6500 , I want to upgrade my CPU and put the Core 2 Quad Q9000 , but the laptop will not work , turn on the Toshiba prints on the screen and the fit , I tried to interject with cbrom microcode but we are not succeeding if you could help me I would be very grateful , thank you in advance

[Request] Original bios from HP Pavilion p6000

Hello,

I damaged my bios for my computer HP pavilion p6618fr.
When I boot the computer the message "Not enough space in Runtime area. SMBios data will not be available" appears. If I press F2, Windows boots normally.

There is no bios update for the HP Pavilion p6000 series on the HP website, so I can't update the bios with AFUDOS.
Could somebody upload a clean BIOS for the HP Pavilion p6000 series ?

I tried to update this bios to a white listed one that I found and I bricked it. I was able to remove the chip and flash a good bios back on it. Has anyone successfully modded this bios?

I triple checked all available information, and the Chipset Model - GM45/GM47 supports the QX9300 CPU, as well as the P9700. (Just the QX9300 has a higher TDP value and if it will work I will proceed to create a custom heat dissipation system for this laptop to support the higher TDP).

Please, if anyone can help - I would like to request a modded bios to enable support for this CPUs.

Would it be possible such a CPU change modification?

Request. Advanced menu in X220 without 5-5 Beep Problem (RSA checksums and so on).

Hi there,

What I need:

1. Unblocked advanced menu in X220 BIOS;
1. Unlocked memory speed 1866 on the systems with active TPM (get rid of "5-5 beeps and delay" problem on start-up without deactivating of TPM itself);

2. SLIC 2.1;
3. No White-list.

I understand it is an uneasy task and to make it possible you need to have some inside info about how TPM operates in Lenovo's X220 and how RSA checksum calculation goes.
