Hello,

i have an GA-8IRXP Socket 478 Mainboard.

I have successfully used Pentium 4 CPUs with CPUID F27 and Core Stepping C1 - no problem.

But Board refuses to boot with Pentium 4 with CPUID F29 and Core Stepping D1.

Between these CPUs anything else is the same:

Processor Core: Nortwood
Package: 478
L2 Cache: 512 kB
Bus Speed: 533 Mhz

only the Core Stepping and therefore CPUID is different.


Latest original BIOS is: http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/BIOS/motherboard_bios_ga-8irxp_f9.exe


Can someone modify this BIOS to support microcode CPUID F29 ?

now i´ve got the SPI-Programmer and the software is running and can successfully read & write back the bin file.
so if anyone here who can help me to mod this file or can explain how to write a rom file to the chip????

Hello.
As I am new to this forum I am currently trying to find a way to unlock fan speeds for a HP laptop (HP 2000-2d29DX). If someone could give me guidance or where to start at least on modding a HP F.45 BIOS then that would be great. Would be better tho' if someone modded this or has a solution

Hello and Hi everyone, I have a request to unlock Asus A550C series bios which manufactured by AMI ( Megatrends ) ver: X550CC.212 and the motherboard is X550CC.
The reason to this is I want to OC my processor and gpu to gain more fps in gaming and oc competition for rookies.

Hi there.

Like the title says, I'm looking for an unlocked BIOS for the M2N68-LA.

I tried the Abit modded BIOS that worked for many other HP boards (I forgot the name, but the md5sum is 52b384b53f452213f67fb45764a5d18f, included in the attachment), and...it worked, at least for a little while: I flashed it via DOS, from stock BIOS, and got a BIOS checksum mismatch on the next reboot. I was able to access the Abit BIOS and I hit the "Load Optimized Defaults," just to be safe. On the next boot, I got continuous beeping--my motherboard was borked...

Come 2 days ago, I received my Raspberry Pi B+ and GPIO dupont cables. I was back in business.
Got the stock BIOS restored within 2 minutes or so thanks to the SPI headers present onboard and on the Rpi, and thanks to the "flashrom" software.

So far, I've borked my motherboard a few more times, and revived it a few more times, checking BIOSes that are from Asus's main website that are for the 6150se nForce 430 chipset. No success...

Would anyone like to offer me BIOSes to test out that would possibly work on the M2N68-LA IVY8, or give me pointers on how to mod the BIOS on my own? Like I said, I can reflash the BIOS if it doesn't work, so please don't hesitate

Hi guys,
I hope this is the right place to post this...

I tried to flash a modded bios on dv6-6c60el.

Now it does not boot anymore and the screen is always black.

I tried creating an Hp_tool usb drive as described here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833.
I used the most recent tool for my laptop (sp61101.exe) but the "current" folder in the drive is empty, so I tried to put inside the lastest bios (sp60655.exe). Unfortunately I can't extract it, it just creates files like 17FCF1C.exe and F0xTOF1C.exe.

So I tried with an older version. I put the drive into the laptop, pressed WIN+B, the led on the usb drive blinks for some time like it's reading but then nothing happens, and the CAPS LOCK starts to blink twice (bios corruption). No way I can get HP BIOS Update screen appear.

Please someone can help?

Hi,

Own this HP Pavillion laptop since 2009, it has been very good and it wasn't until yesterday that I noticed that it has a slot that can fit a mSATA card.

The thing is that it is only enabled for WWAN cards, as I kept reading for hours found that some bright people (Members of this forum) can actually alter the stock BIOS and enable the slot to accept mSATA cards.

I hope someone here can help me with my dependable laptop

Possibly, I would fancy a Fujitsu certificate, otherwise any other one will be fine.

I both attached RW AcpiTables and latest BIOS (non-USB stick version).

Hello everyone! I have been looking around for a while for an answer to my prayers, and I found this site . So, here's my problem. I have an HP G6-1B60US (Part Number is LW350UA#ABA) and the lack of tools in the BIOS has prevented me from actually using all the upgrades I have put on it. I have upgraded my CPU, RAM, and hard drive, but I can't configure them to work properly/optimally. Due to lack of a working digital camera, I cannot take a picture of my BIOS screen. But if need be I could find someone with a working one and post a picture of it. Anyhow, what I need is to be able to control the advanced features of my computer; FSB clock, CPU clock, RAM clock/timings, and SATA operation mode (AHCI/RAID/IDE). Any possible help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Hello everyone yesterday i flashed a modded bios from donovan6000 and it worked until i ajusted some settings the laptop no longer boots, all it does is turn on and after 2 seconds turns off and repeats on its own.
Does anyone know how you use the usb method to reflash the bios on my laptop its a Toshiba Sattelite Pro L850 1P7 - PSKG7E.
It uses InsydeH2o I beg anyone that could help me plz i realy need the laptop for school.
