[REQUEST] Lenovo x240 display whitelist removal

Hello!

I swapped display to new FHD IPS on Lenovo x240. After this upgrade brightness control refused to work.

Is it possible to mod BIOS so to add this new display to a whitelist?

Need modified bios to unlock egpu support for razer blafe pro uhd i7 7820hk with gtx 1080.

So i bought the razer core v2 after initial razer store associates saying it’d work. I used a gtx 1080 for desktop and found it doesn’t work. Then the store guys said it wouldn’t work because i need a higher end card. I tried with gtx 1080 ti also did not work. Some folks at razer insider forum says egpu is disabled on this model. Need help.

Hi,
I only need a check if a Ryzen 1600 will work in an Zotac ZBOX-E ER51070-BE? CPU in the Box is an Ryzen 1400, Board is an AMD A320 Board custom Zotac or OEM Supplier Production with an AMI Bios.

There is some discussion with Zotac here stating that it is tecnically possible - CPU is not soldered - but there could be not nearer explained bios issues:

So if someone could check Bios and give Input would be appreciated. From my point of view, it's a CPU from same generation, same features, same TDP, "only" 2 Cores more. If the Bios is a standard Bios - what I would assume - I would see no showstopper why the CPU should not ran inside the Box?

Bricked bios or GPU after CPU / Memory Upgrade on 2010 VAIO VPCL216FX AIO

Ok I upgraded the cpu from i7-2630qm to 2860qm and the ddr3 sodimm from 1333 to 1866 crucial. computer worked fine until I went into bios to checkout what settings are available for overclocking. Didn't change anything. exited and rebooted. Computer failed to boot and continually attempts to boot. Black screen nothing works. Reset the cmos battery a dozen times witch no success. What now?

Here are some specs: Windows 10 64bit Pro A1820666A 1P-010CJ02-8013 AKA- "Sony VIAO VPCL231FX 24" AIO Motherboard s989 pga988b sandy bridge . AMI Aptio NU65 Bios- nonremovable. NVIDIA Geforce 540m BGA.

There seem to be 3 different versions of this motherboard with different video cards all about $210. If I had to replace the motherboard it would be nice to find one compatible with an nvida Quadro non bga card and my w2860qm....
Hoping someone can help me identify a cost effective solution.

As far as i know this bios is Phoenix Bios.

I have all nessessary tools for it (Programmer+Clip).

Hello, I need help unlocking the advanced settings in my BIOS. Specifically, I need to be able to modify the VRAM through that menu.

My computer is a Sony Vaio VPCEF4E1E and the BIOS is InsydeH20 Rev 3.5 Version R0210Z5 (https://www.sony.fr/electronics/support/...s/Z0000815).

I was wondering if it would be possible to unlock this Fujitsu RX300 S6 BIOS, it is for a rack server. I am mainly looking for an "advanced tab" with features such as fan control, but i'll take anything Big Grin

Recently I bought a true beauty for super cheaps, a totally unused, in sealed box Acer 1830Z !!


I was looking for an unlocked BIOS, and I found one made by Camilo M.L. but... the one setting I still cannot access is VRAM allocation for my Intel HD IGPU. It is 128MB and technically should share up to 1760MB, but if I try to run a game and it exceeds the 128MB, the game crashes usually...  Sad

Anyone knows if its possible to unlock this feature or maybe even enable it? I tried to do it myself, but I am afraid I am not skillful enough  Sad

Any help will be appreciated!  Big Grin

Update BIOS of "Bricked" AIO Asus

Hi everyone,

My Asus AIO ET2220I don't boot propely (he shutdown afeter 15 seconds)

I want to update the bios to the last relase with my SPI programmer (TL866 II plus).

Well, what i do, and where I stop :

-Removing chip ---OK
-Identifing chip ---OK (Winbond 25Q64BV)
-Reading and saving through SPI ---- OK
-Reading my UUID, Mac and serial with FD44Editor ----- NO ----> error message of FD44Editor : error parsing bios data motherboard S/N required but not found ----> According some forum post, FD44 doesn't work with laptop's motherboard . And AIO is equiped with a motherboard similard as a laptop.
-Trying to flash a CAP file of asus website without this precious informations ----- PC Wont boot

-Trying to extract this CAP as BIN with UEFItools and flash ----- PC Wont boot
-Reflash with the initial dump (old BIOS) ------> Boot... but shutdown after 15 s, same at the beginning

Problem (i think) : I have to merge the original BIOS and the new one of ASUS to preserve UUID, serial, Region and mac Adress.

But how to if FD44 doesn't work ?

So if FD44Editor don't open my dump, how to read and get the UUID, Mac adress and serial of that PC ?

Does H57 Express support Xeon X3450

I have Dell Vostro 430 motherboard with H57 Express Chipset. I have Xeon X3450 as well.

I also have Intel BTJG motherboard with Intel H55 chipset.

Xeon works on H55, but no POST from Vostro 430 motherboard.

Vostro 430 has more RAM slots and PCI/PCI Express slots, and better power delivery.

Hi! I have been meaning to update my BIOS since what I have now doesn't have overclocking tools. I was following the instructions on the BIOS Update page but then it required to copy a BIOS update image to the flash disk. I have no idea where to get it so to be sure I'm seeking for help here. I have this:
