Hi
I have a laptop lenovo g500 20236. It has intel i3 3110m CPU. I want to upgrade to i5 3230m. But when I swap the cpu, pc going straight to black Screen. There is neither logo nor text, but power light is on and fan is working. If I install default cpu (i3 3110m) pc works completely fine. I thought BIOS can cause this problem, but its already latest version (v2.03). So what can we do to install i5 cpu?

[Request] Asus M2N-CM DVI Unlock

Hello,

I have a problem with my motherboard the Asus M2N-CM DVI.
In order to solve this, I need a BIOS with a possibility to
disable chassis intrusion.
(Unfortunately, there is no option to turn chassis intrusion off in the normal bios and it keeps getting a fatal error when booting even if all the jumpers are 100% correct)

It would be great if someone could help me!  Big Grin

Hello!

Can I request for bios unlock?

I'm trying to install a egpu, but when I plug in the gpu, it hangs on POST, but when I remove it, it continues to boot to windows just fine.

Specs:

Samsung RV420-A05SA
i3-2310M
6GB RAM
Windows 10 Pro x64

BIOS:

Phoenix Securecore Technologies 07PQ

I think it blocks the egpu because it wasn't the wi-fi card that was plugged in, but instead the egpu.

Can anyone help? Thank you very much!

[REQUEST] Latitude E6330 factory service tag /sn /Mac in new bios

Hello,

I bought cheaply a nice Dell E6330 which was turning on but only with a black screen.
I also bought CH341A programmer and flashed 2 bios chips with a new bios i've found on web, It is 100% working now but thing is bios i've found on web was from E6430s model which is a twin model to E6330 just with 14" screen. Motherboard in both models are identical.
But thing is, instead of E6330 in bios and everywhere it says its a E6430s model and also it has all serial numbers service tags probably mac adresses too from a new model.

I want it to give it back original name and serial numbers and data it had from factory into bios, but i don't have tools to edit it myself.
So can somebody edit this for me, or at last provide me any tools i need to do it myself please?

I will provide a backup rom's before i flashed them (original bios is probably corrupt that's why laptop didn't even post before) and new bios i've flashed which works.

Also im not sure if the backup bios is still the original one it had from the factory, i saw some flux on motherboard around bios chips so probably someone already tried to flash it before me but failed.

Original service tag should be: 2VHX7W1
and if there is something like that it also has EXPRESS SERVICE CODE: 6258119473

I would like to unlock the wol feature on this laptop. Unfortunately, it's an old beast and I can't find any link to the original BIOS file (Phoenix PB3DC4A01). I read this post but the link to get the tool to backup BIOS does not work.

Can someone tell me how to backup and post here this BIOS?

Hello i am tight situation to get laptop up so i could move to it and sell own pc or i wish so.

this model:
MSI GP60  (Intel HM86)

and with this cpu:
i5-4210M

Turns out they never moved on to Haswell refresh platform support. And don't have enough money now to get yet right cpu. PLUS i want to learn or someone educate me what it takes to upgrade to this as i am hungry of knowledge always (disassembly of ford ecu over year and many other things..)  Blush


Anyway i have this with new motherboard laptop and original motherboard was toasted and sadly original cpu i7-4700MQ was toasted too as earlier owner gave up at this point. I did desolder bios chip out and back couple times trying modifying support (microcodes replaced newer - vbios update 2179 - IntelGopDriver module BUT not yet IntelSaGopDriver module! - is this the problem still? ) already but result stays now same: Boot ups with backlight on but black screen just.

Tools used:
MMtool, hxd, UEFItool (this was someone done very nice program).

I use hot air station and no problem soldering i understand details of it.
Oh yes i flash chip outside with universal TL866 crap (once locked amd flash chip and couldnd't unlock it. thanks ruining my day).. and yes i verify it did flash correctly.

Anyone can argue i have elsewhere problem but i will ignore now them. Or that AC plugging charging out in guide i am done it thank you.



MSI support responded that this motherboard model was tested only with i7-4700MQ  which i thought too even though in their manual says dual cores too (which turned now lie that never tested.. surprise!)


I uploaded original and clearly texted modified bios files (or mess to pro's of course they wouldn't want touch even with greatest stick to others mess).



I offer 10USD as start price as thank you for him who helps as coffee money.. and if get today done and booted up laptop fully (i will send paypal) i would be very happy. But of course i try not corrupt anyone by money  Tongue



I be back later of (my time - finnish). I hope this helps to start and showing where i failed.

CPU microcode update for Asus M2N

Hi, I got this old Asus M2N (AM2) motherboard with nforce 430 chipset and I need support for one (or both) of the following CPU’s:

-Athlon II X4 605e AM2+ AD605EHDK42GM (preferred)
-Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition AM2 AD785ZWCJ2BGH (secondary option)

Currently both CPU’s result in a black screen (no signal).

Now for the donor BIOS I’m having a hard time. The ones that I found with this chipset and the desired CPU support are award bios. I suppose that’s not helpful, is it? Any advice how can I find a right one?

Thank God that I found this site and this community  Idea
Laptop worked perfectly till this day when I decided to replace Wi-Fi card because the old one doesn't have AC standard!
Decided to buy Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 and that was a mistake because this card doesn't work with my BIOS...

HP EliteDesk 800 G2 disable onboard video

Want to add ASUS GTX1070 Turbo on PCIe x16 slot (running on it's own power supply) but HP BIOS 2.29 will not recognize, and no option in BIOS to disable onboard Intel graphics.

Hello,

I'm new here so correct me if anything I post is incorrect. I'm requesting for the T520 whitelist removal for the current bios of 1.48.(8auj29us.) At the moment it has the PCIe Half Mini Card Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300. 
I just want the bios whitelisted so I can use the Dell DW1510 or Dell DW1515 instead.

can't change any settings in bios toshiba setup utility

can't change settings in bios except language and date only after cmos reset, i reseted cmos many times, so it can't load windows too, i install windows on another computer and put ssd back but when i power on laptop it tells that insert system disk in drive but in bios ssd is recognized, in bios boot menu is disabled. what might be the problem?

Please help me unlock my advance settings in bios.

I already tried the advice from forum threads relating to my laptop but can't seem to find an answer.
Please help me or at least point me to the right direction.
