Hello everyone!

Could someone please help me out unlocking the advanced options and maybe also hidden options like UEFI boot of my HP 630?
The Diagnostics tab can be sacrificed to replace it with Advanced Options, if needed  Smile

Some details about my notebook:
  • Model: HP 630 (Model 3674)
  • BIOS Version: F.16
  • Filename in update tool: 03674.fd
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 M370
  • Chipset: Intel HM55

Link to the BIOS F.16:

Here is a screenshot of my bios:

(downgraded it to F.16 with an SPI Programmer, that's why my system specific strings are lost, but at least it works Smile )

If it helps, here are also the offsets of the forms:

hi, i'm trying to enable my intel HD

then i open it using "InsydeH2OEZE_x86_WIN_100.00.02.13", then i edit "update default", then i found Form 592 Internal Graphics Device , which current option is "auto", so if i change to enable will it activate the intel hd?

Need help with bios on Acer Predator

Hi all!

First, sorry for my english, it's not my first language.

I really need help and I don't know how to resolve my problem.

Let me explain.

I have an Acer Predator G9-793

Lately, I was having some weird sound buzzing, and I send my computer back to acer customer care. They changed the motherboard and the fans.

I got back my computer two days ago.

Yesterday, I wanted to use it and see if everything was working fine. Win 10 booted all ok, I surfed a little bit on facebook, and launched steam to make the games updates.

In 5 minutes, my computer completely froze. The mouse/trackpad didn't move, alt-ctrl-del doesn't work. My only solution was to hard shutdown with the power button.

When I wanted to boot again, the leds and the backlight keyboard lighted, but the screen remained black. The fans turn on a little bit then stops. And I'm stuck with a black screen.

I tried to restart the computer with some of the tricks provided (Push power button for 30s, reset battery with little hole in the back of the computer)

I went to the acer forums, and found some old thread spoke about a maybe a bios problem to recover.

And with some more googling I found this place.

Ok that's it for the story Smile

Actually, I'm completely broke and can't afford another repair and lose 3 weeks again my computer if I can repair the problem myself. I really hope someone here can help me.

So... After what I read here and there, I think that I can try a bios recovery for my computer, but I'm a little stuck.

If I understood well, I must format an usb key in FAT and put the good bios file with a good name, then boot my computer with a manipulation (Fn + esc, power button then release all keys) and the new bios should install.

I downloaded the latest bios for my computer on acer website (ver. 1.13):
https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles...R&SC=AAP_1

I decompressed it and found two files that seems to be the bios files (MU5DC.bin and MURDC.bin)
I tried to load them in phoenixtool to find their recovery name, but I can't find these names anywhere. Also, I don't know wich one I must use.

Can someone help me to go further in my adventure to make my computer great again ? Smile

Is thera a tutorial on making BIOS screenshots?

Greetings: Years ago I had played around with bioses, mostly award and ami but none of them were branded and were pretty easy to manipulate. Recently I acquired a couple of laptops that have good potential, but it seems they have been "held back" by limited bios menus. The search brought me to this site, and it looks like I could get some answers here.
The first thing I need to know is how to take a screenshot from within the bios. Google search keeps coming up with what sounds so simple, plug in a USB and hit F12. That doesn't work for me. Both machines are running Insyde h20 and I would like to take some screenshots to include with a request on the Insyde thread.
Can anyone direct me to a tutorial on this matter?

[REQUEST] Acer Aspire Switch 10e SW3-016 BIOS Unlocking

Hello everyone!

I have the Acer Aspire Switch 10e SW3-016, a cherrytrail device and I wanted to install Linux or Android on it because Windows was too slow.
But whenever I try I revert back to windows because none of my devices would work on Linux or android (Like WiFi, Graphics, etc.).

So maybe the fix could be to boot the computer in legacy boot mode and try after that.
Realized that my BIOS (Insyde Bios) has it hidden from the advanced bios options. Angry

Can anyone please unlock my BIOS?

My BIOS is attached below.

Good day, I would like to enable virtualization technology, enable video memory size allocation and disable FN hotkey so that my function keys work without turning on media player all the time.
I uses Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 to extract the file. I cannot seem to open it in H2OEZE or using a hex editor like I read about in Donovan6000's tutorial post.

Set bios defaults to Add logo to old Award Bios on EVGA Classified

$

Hi,

I have an old Evga X58 E759 Classified that I am trying to mod and add a logo to the boot screen. I have gotten as far as actually adding the logo such that after the flash was done I saw the logo on the screen, but now everytime i boot the system no more logo on the screen. I think its because the bios defaults to disable the logo. If there was another way to enable the logo as a default it would be great. Similar older bioses like the E758 from similar boards by same company actually have that option but not mine nor can I find it in Modbin. If anyone can help?

Heres my bios mod so far:

[REQUEST] Remove Graphics Card Whitelist from Lenovo Thinkstation E30 Desktop

$

Hi, I'm a new user here and I need help with something, I have a Lenovo Thinkstation E30 Desktop that I want to upgrade the Graphics card in,
the card in specific is an AMD Radeon 7570 GPU. The problem is there is a white list in the BIOS that prohibits most if not all AMD GPU's from working with the motherboard. I was wondering if one of you could remove the white list or help me remove the white list from the Thinkstation BIOS so all video cards are compatible with the system. Sorry for asking for help but the way Lenovo sets up their BIOS'es is just utter garbage and it's confusing :/

BIOS Download from official Lenovo website: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds018245

Desktop Make: Lenovo
Model: Thinkstation E30
CPU: Intel Core i3 2120
Bios Version: 9HKT58AUS (Unknown version number, BIOS was made on 6/10/2014)
Motherboard Type/Model: Unknown, CPU-Z and Speccy list it as a generic LENOVO Sandy Bridge Motherboard

Greetings: Taking a photo of the computer screen usually ends up with a poor image for me.
Is there a way to take a screenshot from within the bios?
Google search gives me suggestions that don't seem to work like pressing F12.
I would like to take some good quality screenshots to include with BIOS unlock requests.
Is it even possible to take a screenshot while viewing the Insyde bios pages?

Lenovo IdeaPad 300-15ISK and 100-IBY BIOS MODs

$

Hello, I would like to request BIOS mods for the Lenovo IdeaPad 300-15ISK and the 100-IBY which include (In descending order of immediate importance) :

1. Removal of the wireless card whitelist (I am planning to upgrade them in the next few weeks).
2. Unlock of the more advanced option (to tweak them for a bit more performance).
3. Enabling Hackintosh's native power management feature (I don't use Hackintosh or OS X, however I do experiment, so installing Hackintosh is on my to-do list).
4. Replacing the logo with the old logo (found in the older BIOS version linked below).

I'd like to receive a mod for the 300-15ISK first, and I am planning on getting an SPI flasher if needed.
Additionally, I intend to learn how to mod them myself (I have a Dell Dimension 4700 which I have begun to learn how to mod it's BIOS, however my desktop is currently out of commission, after taking a direct hit from something(I wasn't at home, so I have no idea from what)), so any help on that front is welcome.

Most of my experience is on the higher levels, being a Linux user who also mods his phone's Android ROMs (and hoping to move over to PostMarketOS in the future).
