Acer Aspire 5737Z CPU

Hi guys

I`m trying to find out what cpu`s that fits my 5737Z with original Acer bios 1.10
Not shure about what is the best ram either Blush

Anyone tried different combinations?

Intel Desktop board DQ67SW, Intel Xeon 1240 V2

Hi Everyone,

I have a Intel Desktop Board, DQ67SW. General mobo information can be found here: http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/Intel/Intel_DQ67SW/450

The mother board is confirmed working along with the cpu in question.

CPU: Xeon 1240 v2
SR0P5

I'm unable to get the system to boot, I know this board will take the 1220 without issue but the 1240 doesn't seem to beep or do anything.

The bios I'm using can be found right from Intel website:

I'm hoping you guys can help me get my small build running Smile

My friend wanted his 1220 back and my little I5 doesn't have the horses Smile

Hi, I have a i45GMt-HR and I want to do "extreme" overclocking with it, I already moded all voltage and I have a full control to FSB with setfsb.
I'm just in need to mod the bios to add the support of speedstep or intel IDA to increase fsb without decreasing multiplier, some memory control like memory frequency, and the recognition (maybe with disabling intel igpu) of the Nvidia/ATI GPU fit in the PCI-E x16 to allow BSEL mod to 1066 FSB.

I don't care about the final bios size, I can change the eeprom, I already have opened the bios with AMIBCP 3.51 to see if the features asked were just hidden or not and I didn't see something interesting.
The board have the GM45 chipset with SLB8Q South bridge, 2 DDR2 sodimm ram slot, 1 PCI-E x16

Hello bios mods forum!

Is it possible to add ivy bridge support and uefi gpt boot on the lenovo y570? If yes can someone please help me out. I did some reading and found out that the HM65 chipset has support for the 3rd generation intel cpu but when I tried installing the ivy bridge cpu that I have it wont boot. And being able to use uefi gpt boot would also be great.

Hello,
I build a MS-DOS PC with floppy disk.


The Problem is that I the PC´s plug is disconnect when the PC is off.
That Clears the CMOS everytime when it is off.

In BIOS the Floppydisk is by default on "disable".
I want to mod this so the default is on "enable".

I´va some skill in work with a HEX monitor.

Toshiba Satelite Pro L650-1CH cpu upgrade

Hi, i've a dead motherboard of a Toshiba L650-1MN i want to replace it so i bought anotherone with the same board-code as my 650-1MN. 
I also plan to bought a new CPU for this motherboard (he has a socket), at the moment, i've a Pentium P6000 low cost CPU, and i want to buy a I7 640M for best performance (for gaming too, i know now this board can't play new games but from 2011-2016 it's perfect, it will be perfect for travel etc ..) (for recent games i've my FX8320 with r9 290 ^^)

My L650-1MN has a HM55 chipset, i think it's the same for L650-1CH 
this chipset say this processor is compatible but, i've a question, will the bios accept it ? i don't find another L6XX toshiba with a I7 cpu.

I got the bios from the L650-1CH, can somewone check if the I7 640M microcode is present in the bios ?
