Hello i just recently done a dual boot hackintosh, and i could change DVMT for getting graphics resolution. i am familiar with UefiTools, because i had to find setup from p32 and then extract to text with IFRextractor.  however after some time trying to find the OEMLogo from the bios dump i was not able to find it, i kindly ask you yo help me to find the path of the OemLogo to change it.

Here is my Bios Dump

If you need something more just let me know and thanks in advance.

Greetings, Henser

Edit: Nevermind i already found the path  7BA06DC7-4719-0893-B87D-790024E2FBE7_7BB28B99_61BB_11D5_9A5D_0090273FC14D_body

and extracted with uefi tool  and i opened then the rom with mmtool but when i extract it it just gives me the same size even if i put the .bmp at the end when i try to open with paint does not open, but with the file extracted with uefitool does work.

i can't replace with uefitool because it is located in guid and not raw.

So i will ask you further help what next steps i have to do

i will attach the logo that i had extracted.  and also the desired Replacement Logo it has the same size i think

Dear all,

Recently I encountered the black screen problem that when I turned on the laptop es1-111m only showing black screen

Here are the symptoms:
1. Black screen..no even bios or Acer logo
2. The blue light is on ..battery is charging
3. When I plug in USB devices...it has power

Here are the things I tried suggested by other users online, but none of them work:

1. Took out batteries and unplug Ac adaptor..press down the power button for 1 minutes or so..restart..no impact
2. Try our different RAM...no impact
3. Format a USB into either fat or fat32 format ....put in bios files...hold FN+ESC Button
For this method the blue power light was blinking as many users reported online but seems like the bios is not flashed:
For the bios file I tried
a.) one from other user which is named ZHK.fd but that's all
b.) The one downloaded from Acer support website which is exe file for window and then I extracted all files to the USB but no impact at all

Does anyone know what is the problem...many thanks in advance

Do I need a flashit.exe for this model? and is the naming ZHK.fd correct? or shall i just use all the files downloaded from acer support but i believe that is for windows bio updates only?

also pressing FN+ESC did have effect as the blue led light was blinking but nothing else happen I let it blink for a whole day already! Do I need to have battery connect while flashing?

Please help me!!

Hello,

I’m attempting an eGPU setup for my laptop with zero luck in getting windows to detect my mPCIe adapter card.
The adapter I’m using is PE4C V2.1a, EVGA GTX 750ti video card, Corsair CX430M PSU.

I believe my BIOS is whitelisting the mPCIe port for the wifi card.   I want the whitelisting of the wifi card/port removed so the port will become available and allow windows to detect the eGPU.  Currently the wifi card is listed in PCI devices, not in PnP devices using AIDA64.

I’ve attempted every conceivable variation of timing/hot swapping etc of graphics card as mentioned on the DYI eGPU forums at TechInferno and nothing I’ve done will allow windows to recognize/detect the card.  I’ve uninstalled the wifi card, deleted the drivers, and disabled the port.  If I plug the wifi card back in windows immediately recognizes it and installs the drivers.  This makes me think the BIOS isn’t allowing anything besides that wifi card to be installed in that port.  Hope this makes sense.

I hope somebody can help me out with this, I’ll gladly make a donation.  Thanks in advance for your time if you attempt to take this on.

Hello guys, i have a t420 with 1.46 bios from oleh, i received a memory management bsod and decided to modify my memory settings, i dont remember much from the memory management screen but i changed something from static to adaptable and from 3gb to nothing in other settings also on that screen. After that i saved the settings and rebooted, but now i dont even get to the thinkpad splash screen, and i stay on a black screen forever, how can i recover the laptop? All lights and the two drives work when i start the computer but nothing else. I have 16GB 1333mhz of ram from sun memory.

Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone.

I have t420 with bios version 1.46. I found on one thread of this subforum a few bios updaters (Lenovo_ThinkPad_T420_83ET76WW-83uj28us_NWL_LEN21_ADV_RAM_Speedo_AES_vBios-2119.rar,
Lenovo_ThinkPad_T420_83ET76WW-83uj28us_NWL_LEN21_ADV_RAM_Speedo_AES_vBios-2170.zip,
Lenovo_ThinkPad_T420_83ET76WW-83uj28us_NWL_LEN21.rar) and try it, but no changes after update.
System: win7 i386 LiveUSB. I run this with Administrator account.
If it possible, can unlock AES and 16Gb limit?
Thank you in advance.

hi guys, first I want to ask what do you get with an unlocked bios? this laptop is almost 7 years old now and i need a bit of performance from the gpu. but I have already been overclocking the gpu for couple years now core 150mhz, memory 100mhz and processor clock(was a thing in old gpus) 500-600mhz. I get about 20-25% increase in fps with these values. so I now get around 50 fps from a game I used to get 38-40 with default clocks. but when I try bit more than 150mhz on the core it gets unstable and generally goes back into 2D mode, then I have to disable and re-enable the gpu to get it out of that state.

highest temp with these oc values I have ever reached is 71c so i think gpu has still some performance in it if i could just give it bit more voltage. cpu gets bit too hot to ever try anything so i will leave it stock. can you guys somehow crack this or can I just try the lg r510 h2 bios you have in the list and see if it works without bricking my motherboard?
