[Request]HP Pavilion G7 Wifi whitelist mod

I have a two HP Pavilion G7 with systemboard ID 1372

i want to install Intel 7260  (Model 7260HMW)

im on F.66

and iknow i must downgrade bios.

but can someone please make a bios whitelist mod for me !

i have AIDA64 if you need some more info.

Problems modding Shuttle SN68SG2 Award bios.

Hi all,

I have an old Shuttle SN68SG2 system, which I'd like to put two floppy drives in....to archive old disks for retro computers.

The hardware on the motherboard of this machine supports two floppies, and if I boot into Linux and tell it's floppy driver that there is a second drive there it will access it successfully.

However there is only the option for one floppy in the BIOS, so I took a copy of the latest bios and used modbin on it and enabled the option for a second floppy. Whilst I was about it I also added back the options for 1.2MB and 360K drives.....

I flashed the updated bios and all went well I can go into the bios, the option for a second drive is there and I can enable the second drive without problems. I exit the normal way using save settings and exit, but the second drive is still not detected Sad Going back into the bios it's settings have been reset to 'none'.


I even tried directly edititing the cmos ram with out instructions from DOS, remembering to set the checksum at $2F correctly too. But on reboot the settings get reset.

Does anyone have any clue what might be causing this?

Dell Optiplex 980 sff

Hi,

is there a bios or could you make a bios for Dell Optiplex 980 (MB0106 0C522T) that allows me to use the Xeon cpu's?
That way I could use the less costly xeons with a small modification on my lga1156 mb, instead of the i7-875K...

I have 2x4gb 1600Mhz cas 9 Mushkin 997005 rams, none of them works, bios won`t recognize them. The mainboard itself support 16GB, but only a select few is on the official supported list. Can anyone add newer ram support for the bios? This could be really helpfull. Thanks in advance.

Swap Ctrl and FN DELL Latitude E5550

Hello everybody,

first of all sorry for my ignorance. I am new to bios modding.
I have a new laptop (DELL Latitude E5550) after having only used Thinkpads for years. That is why I am used to having the FN key all the way down in the left corner of the keyboard. I also still use an external thinkpad keyboard at home which has this layout.

Is there any way to modify the bios to swap the Ctrl and the FN key?

As i was not quite sure how to find out anything about the bios I attached a picture of the tool's "biosagentplus" output.

The latest bios can be downloaded from the dell website.

Hi all,

I have a very old IBM ThinkPad Z60m (almost 11 yrs old) and I wish to use a 3rd party wireless card. Therefore, a modified bios is needed. I have conducted a thorough and careful search both online and in this forum, but nothing useful is revealed. A previous solution in this forum is not accessible as the file is deleted by the online storage service provider. Please help me out with this bios modification.

Apart from the whitelist issue, a SLIC 2.1 installation is also needed. Also, the original bios supports screen resolution up to 1680*1050, I would like to know whether the gurus could add a 1920*1200 (WUXGA) support to the bios. Do I need to post a separate thread in other boards?

[Request] Whitelist removal: HP Folio 13 1035nr

My notebook is HP Folio 13 1035nr, I want to install osx system,but my notebook has wifi whitelist, I try to remove whitelist use PhoenixTool, i search and replace my wifi card hard ID with new ID, then flash to chip use HARD FLASH TOOL(it Directly write to the chip, is not flash software), but when i flashed my bios, my computer can't bootup. 
I try edit only 1 bit use PhoenixTool and flash bios, but my notebook still can't bootup.
I try UEFITool too.
PS: HARD FLASH TOOL can be skip RSA signature.

this work with all HP Pavilion DV4 3xxx series

unlock menus and overclock 6750m with 125mhz only (no mem)
6750m same gpu chip with 6770m only with some more clock (gpu 600mhz to 725mhz)

Recently installed an I7 2720QM in my Asus K73E (which came with an i3 that did not support turbo boost).  I am unable to utilize Intel turbo boot due to my BIOS (as far as I know).  Turboboost Monitor indicates the cpu is always at 2.2 GHz, (shouldn't it throttle down at idle?) when maxed out with prime 95, and has some room left in temperatures.  Will not achieve anything near it's 3.3GHz potential, although still a nice improvement over the i3.

Some Speedstep or XTU ability to throttle down would be great as well.

I did see some posts in here while searching that had some stuff for lenovo laptops with the same VBIOS prefix, but dont know enough about this to be flashing them.

I would like to put in a new Wifi card into my laptop but can't due to the IBM/Lenovo's whitelist nonsense. Here is the information I managed to gather:

Hi, I'm new here so I'm not sure if I'm in the right section, but I'll do my best to explain my problem, it's a really long story so sit tight.

The Story

Not long ago, I've bought myself a new notebook, HP Envy Notebook 17-u018ca, it's a really good one, much better than my older computer. Unfortunately, it was pre-installed with Windows 10 which is a OS that I don't really appreciate. But since I didn't wanted to lose everything on it. I've
decided to do a Dual-Boot with Windows 7.

After spending almost 2 days to figure out how to launch the Windows 7 Installation in UEFI mode, I finally manage to get it started. But unfortunately, this is where the problem start, there's a screen that say: "Windows is loading files, etc..." but then, it freeze at the "Starting Windows".

After a few researches, I'm pretty sure that it have something to do with the driver's type, I need to switch it to AHCI. So I've opened up the BIOS and much to my surprise, there's no "Advanced" options. So I've looked up on the Internet trying to find a modded BIOS of "Insydeh20 f0.8", but I didn't find anything. Donovan6000's tutorial isn't helping either, the bios that he use and the bios that I have are far to different.

So I though to myself that it was because the BIOS was outdated, so I went to HP, looked up on a update and I've found it, the BIOS would be updated to f2.2 rev. Unfortunately, F2.2 doesn't have any modded BIOS yet and Donovan6000's tutorial can't help either.

After 2 or 3 headaches, I've just gave up on trying to find a solution on my own and I went here to see if someone had a modded BIOS or just wanted to mod a BIOS.
