Hello! Can't flash my bios even with original one, flasher writes "Failed to flash bios image: This bios is not for this model. Bios is not flashable. Error code: -144 ". Some say it's because i've upgraded my video card that is not written in bios as supported (but it works fine!). Tried to flash in windows, in bios with command /forceit, with/without battery, in crisis recovery mode with/without videocard - nothing happens.
Guess the bios needs to be modded for my videocard (Nvidia quadro fx770m) or to disable the videocard check. Could you please help me? Need to update bios as the new one has some important hotfixes for my controller...

can anyone hack or mod this bios to remove the whitelist i have bbeen researching all day i bought a intel 6235 wlan card and did not know this was going to be a problem and am very irritated to find i cannnot do this on my own

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me if this BIOS can be cracked and if possible Crack it for me. I have no idea how to even obtain a copy of my bios, since I cant find it on Toshiba's site. Main reason I'm wanting to have a modded bios is to allow more vRam to be allocated. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks in advance

Hello,

Recently I updated the BIOS of an Acer Aspire M3710. I don't like the fan speed at all (smart fan is enabled but spins quite fast).
Before flashing to R01-A2C1 (bios was never updated before) the CPU fan was dead silent.

The mainboard is a FMCP7AM - used in serveral Acer, Gateway and Packard Bell products but I did't had the guts to flash it to PB or Gateway.

Therefore I wonder if anyone could create a modified bios. I searched for existing mods but unfortunately the links were dead. Do want:

- Fan rpm fix
- AHCI / RAID fix if possible, but not necessary as Windows 7 works fine.
- additional feature unlock

The raid controller nor the board in AHCI mode detects my (now venerable) OCZ Agility 4. OCZ told me to tell gigabyte (Sure they wouldn't take a corporate request more seriously, guys?!) to update the OROM, but Gigabyte support has minimal English language skills, no short term memory, or motivation to resolve this issue.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty intelligent AND my bios has a recovery feature that I think makes it difficult to brick (it's reverted BIOS versions in the past...)
so I could experiment.
BIOS modding is a skill I might want to pick up if traditional PCs disappear eventually, so I'm thinking long term here.

I'd also like to hack in some AM3+ support somehow, but that seems more pie in the sky

Hey everybody,

I have an Asus Zenbook UX31E Ultrabook with an American Megatrends Inc. BIOS

BIOS Details-
Version: 214
Date: 8/14/2012
SMBIOS Version: 2.6
Embedded Controller Version: 255.255
BIOS Mode: Legacy

It has an Intel Core i5-2557M 1.7GHz processor which has overclocking capabilities up to 2.7GHz but no option in the BIOS. If possible, please unlock this BIOS with all advanced options (overclocking, power management, CMOS settings etc...).

Attached to this post is the official BIOS for my laptop (UX31EAS214.zip - inside the zip there is a .214 file, that is the BIOS)!

Hey all,

I'm trying to wrap my head around something.
I have a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Rev 1.0 that doesn't seem to support VT-d.

Accord to the internets the Rev 2.0 of the motherboard supports VT-d via a BIOS update. ( http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=6834.0 )
So two questions in case someone can help out.

1) Is it possible to mod or find a modded version of a 1.0 BIOS with VT-d enabled?
2) Is it possible to crossflash the Rev 2.0 BIOS onto my 1.0 and where should I start reading to get this done?

I have searched for couple of hours but BIOS related sites are not what I'd call very organized. :/
So I have to apologize if something was staring me right in the eye.

I recently discovered that I cannot mount every wirelles card that I like on my laptop pc, and it makes me angry.
I read that it's possible to install a modified BIOS firmware with the wireless card whitelist removed. How can I do this?
