Msi s262 or 1057 bios upgrade memory

Hi, I have A Msi megabook S262 with bios 7.08 the lastone that i,ve found The specifications said that the Max memory are 2 gb, but i can plug 2 sticks of 2 gb each and the system boots but the bios only recognize 2936 mb, it has a 945 gm chipset. So its posible mod the bios to force it to recognize the 4096 mb. Thnak you and congratulatios for the web.

Hi to all! I want to ask you how to unlock this bios. When I connect an external graphic card in PCI-Express slot, it doesn't work (black screen at startup). Computer works only with integrated graphic card (Intel HD Graphics).

multi array on single set of disks on AMD raid

I have an ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 760G / SB710 motherboard with AMD raid.

This motherboard's RAID configuration ROM / BIOS only allows up to two arrays to be configured on a single set of disks; e.g.

If I configure one RAID 10 array on a set of 4 disks with a less-than-full capacity, which I am allowed to do, then the next array I define on this set will NOT give me the same option; I will not be allowed to set a capacity and it will just use and consume the remaining capacity on the disks.

In short, there is a maximum of 2 arrays I can define in RAID 10 on this set of disks.

I am wondering if this is a limitation of the controller or just the configuration screen.

And if it is just the configuration screen, is it easy to mod this? or has it already been done?

That is my question for today.

HP Pavilion DM4-1009TX Whitelist removal request

I am currently using an eGPU, but the mPCI port I need for that is whitelisted.. So I have to boot into windows with the stock wlan card to prevent the port from being disabled, put the laptop to sleep, remove the wlan, and plug in the necessary cable for my PE4C eGPU adapter.

I am requesting someone to remove the whitelist from my BIOS so I can avoid this 10 minute procedure every time I have to restart. Here is a BIOS dump obtained from FPT (using fpt -bios -d), as well as the zip for the stock HP BIOS (same as current version).

Add AHCI to MSi S262 bios

Good morning everybody, I Would like to know if its posible add AHCI mod to my amibios 7.08 to use a SSD samsung 850. Now im using it with windows 7 but in IDE mode because in actual BIOS doesnt exist any option to change the sata mode. Dodgy I´ve unblocked the BIOS and there isnt nothing to activate sata option or so.
the motherborad has i945 GM and ICH7/M southbridge that in theory has AHCI support. Thanks in advance Big Grin

My computer specs
CPU: i3 2120
Motherboard: Genuine Dell GDG8Y, M5DCD, MIH61R Inspiron 620s Small-Tower Optiplex 390 Tower Motherboard Logic Main Board Intel H61
OS: Windows x64 ultimate

I updated to the latest bios (A10) but for some reason it didn't have achi setting though chipset H61 supports achi. also, there is no settings to adjust fan speed

Can anyone help unlock achi and add fan adjustment feature?

I tried to flash a modified .bin BIOS file but the exe has a feature that prevents me from doing so...

MS-A10.exe

how do I prevent this? thanks!

P.S. The BIOS file is located in %temp% after running the exe

I think my yoga 3 has insydeh20 bios although not 100 per cent sure.  I bought this secondhand and put a bios password on it when i got it.  Old veteran here and its been a few yrs and my windows 7 crashed so wanted to reinstall 7 but alas i can not for the life of me remember the password so I can change boot order.   I am a rookie at this so if it is not insyde bios but pheonix I apologize.  I just would love to know if there is a way around it or do i have to buy a new motherboard or just have a big paperweight.

I want to patch the bios with
1) the splash screen and make it look like the intel d865perl one.
2) the post code, it can post like that bios
3) the setting page
Basically I want to turn it into an intel bios.
Is it possible?
