i would like to add microcode support specifically for USSF\Q35 motherboards 

What happens?
motherboard powers on fine with my Q9550s CPU, however, i can't pass post (System Halted, Unsupported CPU!)


i also have many 755 units to attempt flashing, Bricking these units isn't an issue.

Hi, 

i am using acer aspire e1 series laptop. during the bios update the power went out and now my laptop don't show a display, i was not able to find its bios file .can  you help me in this regards, i need bios file that could be installed on the chip. kindly guide me where can i find it and please help me find the bios or any other solution to revive my laptop. the bios available on acer website are upgrades for the existing bios, not the one which i need. i hope you understand my question.

This is the laptop I own.

I would like to have some features such as changing the VRAM on the APU and removal of the whitelisting since I plan on changing the WiFi card.
I'm new to BIOS modding and would like to learn too.

It has an Insyde BIOS v1.08.

Hi, 

i am using acer aspire e1 series laptop. during the bios update the power went out and now my laptop don't show a display, i took it to the repair shop but the repairmen told me that its bios is not available.can  you help me in this regards, i need bios file that could be installed on the chip. i should have wrote it on thread but i didn't found the link. kindly post this on thread or guide me ow to and please help me find the bios or any other solution to revive my laptop. the bios available on acer website or upgrades for the existing bios, not the base one. i hope you understand my question.

HP MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2) CPU Compatibility Issues

Hey friends,
 I'm new here and glad to find this awesome forum.  I've been trying to trouble shoot a friends compy that's using the MCP61PM-HM rev. 1.0B (Nettle2) Mobo.  It kept crashing constantly and even sometimes froze up during post.  What errors I did see pertained to memory errors.  After MemTesting all 4 memory modules in all possible configurations, they all tested good. I also got 2 brand new modules and still same symptoms.  I also reflashed the bios with a modded bios from these forums found here:

While system stability is improved from where I started, its still way to bad for me to call it fixed.  On the assumption that I now have a bad memory controler, I went and replaced the CPU.  According to the thread from which I got the modded bios, the board should now support all Athlon II's and phenom II's, so I went and got me a Phenom II x3 B75.  However, when I swapped it in, the computer powers on but doesn't post and is on black screen.  Swapping back to the original Athlon 64 x2 5000+ processor got me back to posting again.

Am I missing something here? Any ideas where I should go from here? Should I request a bios on the forum? Cause I can only see getting another Athlon 64 x2 processor, and that's not to say it may even be the problem in the first place.

Specs
Model: HP A6357C

Mobo: MCP61PM-HM rev. 1.0B (Nettle2)

CPU: Stock - Athlon 64 x2 5000+
Replacment - Phenom II x3 B75

Ram: Stock - 2x 512mb DDR2 555mhz
                   2x 1gb DDR2 555mhz
Replacment - 2x 2GB DDR2 800mhz

Bios: M613Z_19

Samsung NP355V bios update without good battery - how to do

Hello everyone!

Today tried to update bios on laptop Samsung NP355V, but wasn't successful - battery is dead, native tool says wouldn't flash without battery, other tools say that it's write protected (tried sleep bug with no result), and in addition it looks like to the end of bios binary added MICOM firmware update binary - size is slightly more than 4Mb.

Standalone micom update tool also not work here - cycled error screen with weird text:

After some unsuccessful tries I go here to write this thread and ask for help.
And while making screenshot it accidently goes on o_O
Ofc battery is still completely dead.

As a result - everything updated OK, and if you have the same problem - just unpack official updater, run it, go to c:\Program Files (x86)\UEFI WinFlash\ for finally unpacked software, copy it somewhere and run some times with reboots/sleep between until successful run no asking for a good battery Smile Remember it may be not functional as standalone - just call it with rom file name as 1st and only parameter, or made a cmd to run.

Hi,

Could you see if you can remove the whitelist for WWAN from the attached bios?

Vendor: Fujitsu T732, non-VPro
BIOS: Phoenix Securecore Tiano

Current device: none (unit is "WWAN ready", but no card included) - working card is a MC8355:
USB\VID_1199&PID_9015&MI_05 or USB\VID_1199&PID_9015&REV_0002&MI_05

New device: various (MC7700 Sierra Wireless is the primary), should be USB\VID_1199&PID_68A2 but would be great if you could just get rid of the WL!

I have successfully dumped 4m chip with SOIC8 clip, Raspberry Pi and Flashrom (md5sum matches 3 times in a row). Bios Version 2.65. New card is Azurewave aw-ce123h.

Thanks in advance if anyone can assist. I've tried replacing my Vendor ID in the BIOS with PhoenixTool but got errors and can't seem to get this to work

Hello,

i have a thinkpad t530 and i want to exchange the wireless card so i can run a hackintosh with pcie wifi.

I have a raspberry pi and i'm thinking about modding the bios with the help of a sop8 clip.

But before i'm actually going to mod the bios i'm trying to rebrand a wireless card so it will work with the "locked" bios.

Can somebody help me by extracting the id's of the allowed wifi adapters in this laptop?

I know there are different threads on here about this laptop like:

but i coudn't find the whitelist there.

Q87T eDP whitelisting?

Hi there.

I've been trying to get an eDP panel working with the Q87T, I've created an end to end conversion of eDP to DP, but when I switch on my system I get only a backlight with a blank display.

This seems to be a common issue with thin ITX motherboards. I wonder if this could be due to a whitelist addded to motherboards so that only AIO OEM approved panels can be used in conjunction with the boards?

If this was the case, could such a whitelist be removed with a BIOS mod?
