XW6200 Dual Core Xeon Support

Hello folks,

I would greatly appreciate some help since I am also looking to upgrade my dated xw6200.

Considering how cheap these processor are now,

I would like to know if the board (Intel E7525) in the xw6200 will support two of these. From this thread it certainly appears so;

Therefore if it is, I am willing to do whatever it takes to get it to work. If it takes modding the bios, by all means I am willing to that. Considering how cheap these are (2 for $50 shipped off eBay), this would be awesome to breathe some life into my wife's work computer. Thanks in advance,

I have a precision m6600 that came with an X.rev bios (X15) and I stupidly updated it to a production (A15) bios.

This, of course, broke things. Anyone have an X series (preferably the latest X Bios) for a M6600 X revision?

Hi

I am new to this.  So apologies for the noob tone.

I want to replace the wireless card in my Lenovo U410 Touch and understand I need to replace the bios to do this

I have run one of the programs to extract the current bios (i think) - results attached.

Please can anyone know what I need to do next.

I have noticed that there have been a number of requests on this site for the same laptop but it appears you can only use these modded bioses in the laptop they come from.

Any questions please let me know.

Hello,

I would like to ask for help on modding a bios as I do not have the knowledge or experience on modding a bios by myself.

I am working on a project for myself where I have attached a laptop LCD to a motherboard by means of using a simple eDP adapter. As you can guess, because the eDP adapter or the LCD does not have a controller, the LCD does not recognize the resolution output by the BIOS at boot time and gives me a half garbled screen until the OS comes up. The OS, thankfully, recognized the EDID data and adjusts the resolution.

I am using the following

- Supermicro X10SLV-Q MB
- Pentium G3250 (Haswell) cpu and gpu
- Abusemark LCD adapter
- ipad retina LCD 2048 x 1536

I would like to be able to use the display in portrait mode and have the BIOS output a resolution for a 1536 x 2048 resolution and was wondering if this could be added to the BIOS via a mod. If yes, please help me achieve it. I have attached the latest bios for my MB, the small sticker on the MB states that the BIOS is a AMI Aptio V4.

What to use to open old bios?

My Asus TXP4-X have old Award bios. I use the Asus TX97-XE in it anyway, but both bioses cannot be opened using normal Modbin version that I use for all these Award bioses, claiming that "bios is not version 6.0":

Now... witch version of Modbin is possible to use there? I need to look, if there can be unlocked TRP (precharge) settings to lower value that too slow 3... Because I don't know any MemSet equivalent that let me change the Intel 430TX ram settings Sad

Anyone can suggest application that can open this bios?

I got one for free and cleaned, new cables, refurbished, replaced fans, harddisk etc and it's realy beautifull like in 2010 , now i want to test win 7 64 bit on it

I did some unlocking in the past but this bios seems internal exist in 2 parts

Hello, I am a new User here and didn't have much experience with BIOS/UEFI modding so far (apart from custom logos) and have following request:

I have a Terra 1061 Pro from Wortmann AG which is pretty much locked out when it comes to BIOS/UEFI settings, so I would like to have more options in there. Only thing I have not found is the original BIOS/UEFI file from the support site, the model number is R4257528
The only thing there is on the support site are some PDF Manuals and no drivers. I have them on my CD, and that unfortunately also does not contain a BIOS/UEFI file. Is there a way to backup my current BIOS/UEFI to a file and go on from there? The BIOS/UEFI is a Insydeh20 45.01.20

Hello there,

I totally new here and would like to ask if anyone would unlock my Insyde H2O BIOS please. Rolleyes 
I read some things about BIOS modding but anyway giving me some hints wouldn't be bad.
I would like to have access to my advanced tab.

Name of the Notebook: HP Pavilion g6 1010eg
