Hi guys,

I need help to add microcode for E5450 into DG45ID motherboard. I have been through many sites without success as it seems that the BIOS is neither AMI, Award or Phoenix. Actually I have a L5420 working fine on this board.

Hello everyone
First, I want to apologize about this post request, as I'm not sure of the location of this post is correct


I have Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 14

I have successfully patched my BIOS yesterday (using bootable disk) to install Intel centrino wireless-n 2230 (my current), using this thread

it worked like a charm


my request is to remove SATA whitelist (if there is any) so I can enable to boot from an SSD (SanDisk Ultra Plus 256GB), which my bios failed to boot from it before (but windows didn't have any trouble recognising it) , as the official response of Lenovo said SSD is not supported in my model!

Asus A7T CPU upgrade Turion TL-64

Hello,


can anybody help me, to mod my ASUS A7T 803 bios with Support for
an AMD TURION TL-64? Normally there is a Turion TL-52 processor installed.

The Mainbard accept the TL-64 processor but the BIOS didn't (Notification "Warning: unknown processor revision" and POST stops).

EDIT:

I investigated further in this case and i came to the following conclusion:

The Asus A6T or A7T only support the old 90nm Trinidad CPUs.
There are some CPUs like the Turion TL-64 which are available as Trinidad or Tyler version.
So i guess the Asus A6T or A7T only supports the older Trinidad ones, which modell number ends with "5CT".
I have a newer Tyler modell, which number end with "5DC" and is not supported at all,  even with a bios mod (?!)

So i guess only these 4 Trinidad CPUs are supported by Asus A6T / A7T :
TMDTL52HAX5CT
TMDTL56HAX5CT
TMDTL60HAX5CT
TMDTL64HAX5CT

Hy i have a lenovo t410 and i whant to change my bios screen if anyone can help my i have the picture theat i whant but dont know how to decompres the bios file so if anyone have time just tell my what i need to or decompress the bios and i will modify all the picure needed and i will uplod them to compres back i have and a modify bios whit whitelist if needed i upload and theat one

I have myself a Gigabyte h87-d3h the bios i am currently running is F9 http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/BIOS/mb_bios_ga-h87-d3h_f9.zip. i noticed however this board allows you to increase your frequency. After examining my bios i noticed that i cannot increase my baseclock, but i can view it. is it possible to modify my bios to add the option to increase BCLK. this would be a great deal of help as i want to overclock but i dont want to go out and get a new mobo to do so.

I need change AHCI to IDE for installing SSD.Also i need to discrease Turion x2 voltage (Cpu P-state) then the heat from cooler should be not so hot.

Need help getting the file name In which I need to put on USB Acer is no help neither is Andy's tool so I have included the bios Image which is the original one for the unit This pc is IA32 only their for no DOS and also No Admin rights for FPTW in windows 8 so the only option left is the Crisis Recovery Method I have Confirmed It exist's with the key combo VOLUME UP, HOME, & POWER and have tried many name's and extension's also I have no clue If this is RSA signed but secure flash was the issue with Insyde Utility Any help is appreciated Thanks' In advance!

Help: reveal the hidden settings in Acer E5-511 BIOS to enable Intel VT-x

Hi guys,


I bought a laptop (Acer E5-511) primarily for installing both Linux and windows. I have installed windows 8.1, however, while trying to install Linux, it doesn't detect any filesystem partitions that windows uses. So I gave up and installed a vmware workstation inside it, but I am not able to install VMs since intel VT-x is disabled. Prior to purchasing laptop, I had made sure that processor support intel VT-x. But there are no options in bios to enable intel VT-x and I am at loss now Sad

After a lot of research, its known than Acer disables the "Advance settings" in BIOS to hide that option. I have read a lot of method to hack into BIOS to enable the hidden settings in BIOS, but all of them related to other Acer systems even though its InsydeH2O, so I am not confident of doing it.


My current bios version is v1.02 (InsydeH2O rev 5.0). And I have few update available in acer website and main one is verson 1.07 (http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/BIOS/BIOS/BIOS_Acer_1.07_A_A.zip?acerid=635579589778073641&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%20E5-511&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=AAP_2) and I assume it is also having the same problem.

I am thinking about flashing with v1.07. Would someone provide some steps to enable to settings by patching that BIOS. Or guiding me to find a patched bios of the same would be a great help. Any help would be appreciated,

I haven't been here for over a year, I had a Toshiba A305D before.
Now, I'm back with another request.
I have  a Lenovo E520 1143-CTO(i3 -2350M CPU).
There is an old E520 request, but my BIOS is the latest 1.26. The BIOS file, is more than the forum can take, so I can't attach the file here.

Hi there,

I'm currently looking for "Boot laptop from cardreader" feature, since I moved to Puppy linux and there is no option to boot from SD/MS integrated cardreader. But I was told that it could be a hidden option. So I will be very glad if someone will unlock this for me. But if for some reason it is not possible than I'd like to have unlocked BIOS on my personal laptop as well. Ready to donate. Ready to give feedbacks. Thanks.

LENOVO G500 BIOS request for whitelist removal

I am trying to install Intel 7260 wireless mini PCI card on my LENOVO G500.
