Hi, I'd really appreciate anyone's help on unlocking this BIOS, I really need the advanced settings. HP really gets on my nerves. My mobo is about five years old, details and links below. At one point I was able to access the hidden options by randomly pressing keys on my keyboard, now I cannot figure out how to do it again. This is my main computer, FYI. I have the BIOS update files uploaded to MediaFire, one is the extractable exe (sp49851.exe) and the other is the BIOS image it uses (alo6.09).

Please help.

BIOS type: American Megatrends.

Hello there.

I spent days and hours looking for an unlocked BIOS or to get the NVRAM registers.

I'm an experienced PC user, but a newbie in BIOS modding.

Here in the forum I only found dead links...

Now I please you guys to unlock my BIOS.

Here's what I know and got at this moment:

SONY VAIO VGN-SZ4XWN
PHOENIX BIOS R0112N0

I'm running under XP Pro, able to flash in booted dos 6.22 too.

Original Link: http://download.sony-europe.com/PUB/Downloads/PH/B/SYS/PHBSYS-01041232-UN.exe

attached my original backup .rom file.

If you need some other facts or files, let me know.

Thanx so very much!!!

So here's what I've got:

HP Pavilion Dv7 Notebook
Product Number: VM188UA#ABA
BIOS Verison: InsydeH20 Rev. 3.5 F.1D

I was over at http://www.bios-mods.com & BDMaster a forum Moderator supplied me with an unlocked bios for my laptop.

Well now when I try to boot to windows or boot to install a new copy of windows from DVD I get this oxc0000225 error

http://imgur.com/jeZFb8b.jpg

I"ve been trying to get into Windows so that I can use InsydeH20 flash utility to flash the original bios back and hopefully that will fix it. But I can't seem to get into windows to do that. I've tried like Windows to go, WinToUSB and I'm working on Windows PE now in hopes that works.

I've even tried installing windows XP but the install fails.

I've tried downloading the HP UEFI and used it in combination with Andy's tools. I don't think my bios is encrypted, but I did use the tool to find out the name that I should use for my bios. It suggested E.BI? C.BI? C.BI? So I'm assuming I just put two copies in the H:\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current\ folder one being E.BIN and the other being C.BIN -does that look right?

Well anyways I plugin the flash drive with the computer off, and I press & hold "Windows Key" and "B" and power on the computer my screen goes blank and the USB drive just does a steady blink there is no sound or anything else that occurs.

I can still get into bios if I need, which is the unlocked version , but can't boot to windows or install windows because I get a oxc0000225 error.

I can boot to some versions of linux, but I don't know much about linux

So I'm not sure what to do at this point? Any ideas? If I could just somehow flash the old bios onto it I should be ok, or just solve the problem in the bios that is causing the oxc0000225 error.

Anyways I really appreciate your time, I'm willing to donate for some help.

Thanks again,

[Request] Lenovo G585 whitelist removal

Hello. I just purchased a couple of Intel 7260 AC cards for my daughters laptops.
The first Lenovo (z710)went fine.

The second one - a G585 went badly. I got the "not authorized" message at boot.

This model has no Bios to download from Lenovo.
I used the Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 to get a copy of the BIOS.
I've uploaded it to a mega address

I also ran "Backup Tools" and posted the results.rar on mega as well.

I took a pic of the bios screen, the new wifi card and a screengrab of the original wifi cars PCI.
I hope that's the right thing to show.

This is a screengrab of the PCI information of 7260ac that is in the Lenovo Z710.
I don't know of that helps.

I hope you have some time to help me out.
Thank you.

Hi,

I have a silly Chinese PC (Haier 7G-3) and mostly everything is looked in the BIOS including basic features I need as the Intel (VMX) Virtualization Technology disable for unknown reason and invisible in the BIOS. So I extracted the IFR structure from the Setup module and I got this:

Code:
0x233AD Form: CPU Configuration, Form ID: 0xD {01 06 0D 00 8F 00}
0x233B3 Subtitle: CPU Configuration {02 04 8F 00}

0x23515 End If0x23515 End If {18 02}

There is a lot of instruction "Suppress If: {0A 03 00}". I can find the part I am looking for in the binary using a Hex editor at 0x234D8

From here it should be simple to patch, if I can understand the bit to change and the value to use. Any helps, newbee here, sorry?

Hello,

First of all my apologies for posting here. This is regarding https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-HP-DX2300-MS-7336-Unlock-Request

I am seeing here that the DX2250 has been unlocked. I am requesting anyone to help me in unlocking the bios for DX2300.

I am attaching the BIOS file for reference. This one is v1.14 extracted from the setup, which I got from here http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=3352968&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=1093

I have spent a good amount of time playing with modbin6, but all the options in the Edit setup are set to normal before hand(confused), hence posting here for help.

Thank you.

unhide chipset menu in ami bios

I have dumped my bios with fptw64. I successfully removed the msr lock with uefipatch and flashed it back with the same program.
Now I'd like to unhide chipset and memory settings. I have an XMP memory module and I can't set that in the bios as there is no memory settings menu, yet I can see the bios have xmp profiles in strings.
Can anyone help to unhide it? How can I do it myself?

Here's link to the rom, it's an AMI bios of course.

By looking at the menu with amibcp the chipset settings is set to show still it doesn't appear.

Lenovo Ideapad s10-3T Unlocked ROM Request

I apologize if this is not the location for this request or if this can even be done, however my s10-3t recently had the CMOS Battery go dead and upon it being fixed, the bios password came on (which I did not set up). I can still boot it up, but I cannot update the BIOS time or get into the BIOS at all. This will be a problem I think if I upgrade the ram on it later. I have owned this computer for years.

The ROM is 24CN62WW
Model Name - 0651
SN - QB00449761
Factory ID - CS20

Is it possible to get a ROM that will bypass the supervisor password?

Mods - again apologizes if this is in the wrong place or shouldn't be asked. I called Lenovo and my only option with them is to send it in or replace the MB.
