Hey guys,

I found an undocumented function in our yoga´s (specially Yoga 2 13 & Pro) try this:

hard reset the yoga (start a directx game and do that on load) --> pushing down the power key for less then 10 seconds
then push randomly and fast (very fast.. - because i don´t know the exact entrypoint for this) "FN+F2+R" (it´s a little bit tricky i tried this 1 - 3 times but the function is there...')
Now you entered an undocumented Mode in Mainboard-BIOS with Tab´s shown on this video:

See under Advanced | Chipset Configuration | BIOS Lock --> which is enabled / you can disable it...
Maybe anyone here´s more skilled in bios modding, try to flash a whitelisted bios with this workaround... ^^

Hi,
I'm trying to add support for phenom x3 850n to an asus k52n, but i can't find any microcode to add and any bios for extract it.
The bios is an asus/ami and I attached it to this post(K52nas.218).
My pc born with amd v140 processor, and when I swap to 850n the screen remains black, no beeps, nothing at all....
I've also attached a previus version of the bios, k52.213.
Please tell me if there is a solution or that's nothing to do...

Hello everyone
I have a notebook Asus U38DT.
I dumped my bios using afuwin utility and just for a test I tryed to flash it, but got an error "secure flash is not supported on this file".
Then I tryed to flash it using afudos but got the same error and then I tryed afudos engeneering sample but it just freezed without any error.
Asus winflash utility can flash the standart bios but it cant flash the modded(using AFUBCP) one so its useless for me.
And the question is how to flash bios using afudos utility or how to force asus winflash to flash modded bios?

I guess this can fall under a wiki, but I think we should have a glossary of terms for us noobs.

For example, what is a SLIC request? Do all of us need it?

Along the lines of that, perhaps best for an FAQ section, but just trying to make this place more-user friendly for noobs.

Hi. I have cracked screen on my Acer E1-531, and i cannot acess bios via HDMI and VGA.
I cannot change bios settings, and install some OS.

Hello, I've searched all across google and it led to this wonderful website.

I learned quite a bit, I do not want to brick my laptop.
If someone verifies my current steps for errors, I will send you or this website money equivalent to a beer upon successful results.

To create the mod I opened the bios with AMIBCP and the only change I made was the fan temperature turn on point.

I changed the values of 55*c to 63*c

• Whenever resaving from the originally dumped bios file in AMIBCP, I noticed that the embedded windows cd key disappeared in resaved bios file. The windows key was normally found at hex offset "00350000". The data where cd key was present was replaced and blanked out into FF FF FF's
  

Should I be worried about the missing cd key? Should I manually reenter the cd key at hex offset 0035000?

I compared the modded and original bios in MMTOOL. The only difference with the two bios file was the AMITSE module.

First of all since it's my first post:
Hi to everyone, Marko, 23 years old , from Croatia but living in Japan, Tokyo!
Please move the topic to proper location if this is not it!

To make the story short , I have Toshiba Dynabook RX3MT S266E which is Japanese market exclusive but it's same as Portege r700 and Tecra R700 (bios is same too). Also Bios is same for other models such as : ynabook R730/**A、R730/B、R730/E**B*、R730/W2*A、RX3 S*2***/3HD、RX3 T*2***/3HD、RX3/T*M、RX3MT S266E、RX3W/*MW**、PORTEGE R700 . The bios on Toshiba should be Phoenix if I'm correct?

I need a bios unlock so I can control the fan speed and when does it turn on since it's now always on no matter what is the temperature. I can't control FAN SPEED whatsoever with any program or bios.
Also if possible, voltage control would be great so I could undervolt it a little. So basically this is most important but full bios features unlock would be great!
I will sure consider to donate!

Or if somebody can point me into which software to use to edit Toshiba bios? Whichever software I tried, it can't open Toshiba bios.


I attached the official bios update exe , in exe is bin file. If needed I can upload backed up ROM version of bios too.
