Hi!

Just got a new laptop (Y50-70) and bought Intel 7260 AC (7260.NGWWB) for it but getting the error.
I'd appreciate help with getting the new one working, thanks a lot in advance!

Intel Core i3

Hello all!

i have a really serious problem i upgraded my CPU from intel Pentium Dual core B950 to Core i3 2310M because i though it was compatible since its pretty much identical except for 2 extra threads and Intel HD 3000 (2000 in pentium)

i need help to get a modded BIOS to support it it is working flawlessly and it shuts down every 30 mins exactly even in BIOS

and thats pretty much everything i know/rememebr to type

Hi,

I'm new in this forum and I would like to to post also a Lenovo Z50-70 WHITELIST WIFi/BLUETOOTH BIOS 9BCN25WW .
Im trying to change the WIFI to a Intel 7260AC

My confgíguration:
-Motherboard Model: Lenovo Z50-70 (LENOVO Lancer 5A5 (U3E1)

Heart Hi! I am just askin a general question as to whether it is worth it to change the bios from what I just flashed it to. It was 84.05 and I found a 84.06 from gateway. It has 2 GB of ram and windows 7 64 bit installed laptop with amd turion 64 2.0 cpu

what a great forum we have here, glad that i found it. i have laptop hp pavilion dm4 3115tx and i just bought a new SSHD hdd. the problem is my laptop did not recognise it at all and there is no menu to auto detect it. if someone could help modify the bios so i could use my new hdd, i will very much glady. even a little compensate of your hard work should be glady provided. many thanks in advance for your kind attention Smile

HP Pavilion DV7 bios recovery

hello!

my biosflash went wrong and now i get nothing when i boot, just a black screen and a running computer...
ive looked up some information left and right but as of yet am still unable to recover the bios.

so far, ive gotten in bios recovery (hold win+B at startup). but it gives me one or two beeps according to the format ive used to format the usb with. (fat vs fat32). when i remove the usb the beeping stops...

im using a HP Pavilion DV7-1040ew

The phoenixtool said i had to rename the bios file to f3.bin but the beeping continued.... so im at quite a loss right now..... not even sure which one of the three bios files (in the latest bios update) to use...

im assuming its an insyde bios, since the files are ending in fd.

any help is greatly appreciated,

Can someone change the memory limit for the Asus V1J?

The chipset is limited to 4gb installed memory, but the BIOS refuses to recognise more than 2.8gb of installed memory - doesn't even show up in windows as 4gb installed.

The BIOS can be opened in AMIBCP 3.46 (not the later aptio one).

Nothing else needs to be done, but if anyone can unlock/change the memory limit, i'd be very grateful!

ASUS E45M1-M PRO Option ROM updates

Hi!
Firstly I wanna say Hi to everybody since I'm new here.

I'd like to ask if somebody would update the option roms (SATA, LAN, USB, ...) for the latest UEFI of the ASUS E45M1-M PRO mainboard for me. If this nice person would add a ASUS 2.1 SLIC too, I would be very happy about it.

Hi there,i have samsung r580 NP-R580-JSB1US .My brother have install some program but when i boot up the notebook i see this error "ME FW Update Failed,Please Try again!" how can i remove this and repair them.The laptop show this error for some second and next is starting up.I have google them and its a bios problem i have download the official bios verion and it say "You have new version of this" Can anybody help me to remove this error and repair the laptop.Thanks bye

Hi all,

I've been giving my old desktops the "mobile treatment." On my Athlon 64 system I dropped a mobile chip into the motherboard, grinded down the heatsink retention bracket, and it works like a charm with help from CPUMSR. I tried the same thing on my Pentium 4 Asus P4G533-LA board and...well, it didn't go as well. The computer boots up and everything but I'm stuck at a lame 12x multiplier (for a speed of 1.2 GHz), worse than any Pentium 4 ever shipped. CPUMSR lists the maximum multiplier of 20x (the speed I want) but doesn't allow me to make any adjustments.

What I want to know is, can the BIOS be modded to force the mobile 2 GHz P4 to actually run at 2 GHz? If it can, can I step up to a 2.6 GHz mobile later? I bought the 2 GHz chip for $2.53 as an experiment, so it's no big deal if I can't get it to go faster.

I'm currently running version 3.17 (the latest) of the BIOS from HP's website; the board is an OEM board made by Asus for Compaq before HP bought them out. Here's the link:
