[REQUEST] Acer Aspire 1810TZ

Hey guys Smile

my second unlock request for you.
I bought an Acer Aspire 1810TZ couple weeks ago and was trying to unlock the BIOS by myself.
But since I have to work with an hex-editor (and there were too many unreadable data, I also don't really see, what I'm seeking for), I decided to ask you for help.

Pictures of my BIOS (Information, Main, Security, Boot, blah...)
http://postimg.org/gallery/2opljls3y/

Link to BIOS (also attached the ROM I extracted)
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...1462124752
(Yes, I tried to shorten the Link but then Acer will refuse the request with 404)

I also made some RW-Test with Intel Tools (result in attachment), maybe something useful ^^

That's all (I think), hope you can work withz it, ask me anything if needed (and please can someone gimme a crash course about BIOS-Modding or else? ♥)
Wish you a lovely day and se ya Smile

Best regards
Pascal

Hello! , I'm new here and i came wanting to ask if someone could post a modded version of this bios, as no other link works anymore. I mostly want to enable all the options hidden from the standard, and it would be really helpful. [Image: biggrin.gif] [Image: biggrin.gif]

i'm rather a noob with regards to the concept of BIOS, but I need to overclock my computer. I recognize the risk of overheating a laptop. I have an adequate non-stock cooling system. Please do not come here to tell me not to overclock my laptop. I can't overclock it via any conventional tools, eg, Intel XTU, MSI Afterburner, CPUFSB or anything else. I realize my only option (unless someone has another idea) to overclock my PC is through the BIOS. However modifying the processor is not an option in the BIOS of this particular laptop. I realize you probably need me to extract the BIOS and post a link for the download, but I don't know how to do this.

So in summary

1) How do I get the required files extracted?

and once I have a link for the required BIOS files

2) Can somebody mod it so that modifying the processor speed is possible through the BIOS?

I'd like to add support for some of the rpga 939 cpus that have hd4000 iGPUS (As this would be the only way to upgrade the graphics on this laptop), is this possible?
Does anyone have the original unmodded 1.30 bios if not so I can at least try and read what cpu support is currently enabled in the BIOS?
It's a PITA to read the BIOS on mine without having a raw BIOS to flash if it goes [censored] up. The only tool I have seems to request a valid BIOS to wrie even when I only click the backup option so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Hi, I wanted to know if any one was willing to help me with this issue, I have a Precision 490 GU083 with dual sockets, but is only able to handle up to the 5300 family of xeons, I wanted to know if there was anyway that you could add support for the 5400 family, because I want to buy a pair of e5472's.

Netbook: Acer Aspire One
Model: ao532h
Bios version to mod: 1.26 (the very last one)
Official Bios link: http://www.acer.com/ac/en/ID/content/dri...4;-;AO532h (Open the Bios/Firmware tab)
Features to unlock: fan adjustment (mandatory), GPU memory (Intel GMA 3150) assignment (mandatory), CPU clock, voltages, moltiplicator, fsb and ram timings (optional)

Hi!
This is more like a re-upload request than a bios mod request, as it has been already modded, but the file (hosted on dropbox) is now offline.
Anyway, in case you don't have such a file either, here's my request:
could you please mod the Acer Aspire One bios (ao532h motherboard) to get fan speed adjustment, voltages adjustment, ram timings and to manually assign more than 8 MB to the GPU?
Thank you very much indeed in advance!

Hi, I have gotten the mod working, and am able to run DOS, etc, and managed to even flash the most updated version of the bios using a DOS bootable drive, however I cannot seem to boot any gui windows or linux installer or live bootable CD. I believe this is some form a microcode issue, as it does not always pass self diagnostics, but sometimes will just crash running the built in "Diagnostics..." option from the boot menu. Is anyone willing to update the bios file for me so it has the proper microcode for this CPU?

Hi
C660 work good with i3-2310 SR04R, i5-2410 SR04B
But i have a i7-2670 SR02N and i dont know if it is OK. Notebook goes on, but no picture on it.
I need to check, if this CPU is supported by BIOS.

My little knowledge says they have same microcode and it should work.

TIA

Lenovo B5400 Whitelist Removal?

$

Hello,

I have a Lenovo B5400 laptop which has WLAN: Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

This WLAN does not support 5GHz wifi speeds, only 2.4Ghz

I would like to have 5Ghz wifi speed on my laptop so this requires that I buy a new WLAN card for the laptop.

I am confident using computers etc however I have not modified any BIOS before so this will be my first time.

I am not even 100% sure that the computer's bios even has a white list but some reading online has lead me to believe that it probably will have a whitelist due to it being Lenovo.

Can someone please advise how the process of removing the whitelist from the bios is normally carried out? what are the steps involved?

Also, if someone can explain how the bios is modified that would help, is the whitelist essentially data strings which is checked against the brand/name/model of the WLAN card and this is the deciding process for how the bios accepts or rejects each WLAN card? if so, is the modification just deleting the file/data of strings which are in there?

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you

Asus N53SV Bad Flash

Got an ASUS N53SV on the bench at the mo, flash attempted using the windows flasher but wasn't aware of the problems with it running on 64bit windows so it's been brought round to see if it can be salvaged.

I have read that you can start these with a fat32 memory stick in with the BIOS named (it's an InsydeH20 type) so the laptop can pull the bios from it so the questions are:

a) is it possible with this laptop
b) which key combo do I use (Win+b, Fn+Esc, CTRL + HOME)
c) what do I name the Flash file?

Anyone Help?
