Hi, I recently bought intel 520 ssd which supports hardware AES 128 encryption. Only problem is, my mobo won't support ATA password. Is there a way to mod the BIOS to support it (preferably more than 'standard' 8 letter password would be cool, too) ? I know about this thingy: http://www.fitzenreiter.de/ata/ata_eng.htm but it is a bit too complicated for a mere enthusiast like me.
This solution also sucks a bit, because it only supports IDE mode which is pretty weak way to use ssd of this grade (even though SATA II will bottleneck it anyway![Smile Smile]()
Right now, I'm using the latest F12 BIOS:

Is such a mod doable ? If not, maybe someone could point to a mobo that would work well with that ssd (and fully support the password length of 32 characters, if my info on 520 is correct).
