I have a Toshiba c655d-s5300. I need to recover my BIOS because the unlocked one I got from here won't let me boot windows. I can boot linux but I cant seem to find a way to flash it from Linux. When i try and use the Toshiba provided disc it says "FADT not found". I tried Fn + esc and Windows + B to do the recovery but I don't know what i'm doing. Can someone help me?

[REQUEST]ASUS P5GC-MX for Core 2 Duo E8600 Support
Hello anyone. I have Old Motherboard ASUS P5GC-MX.
I'm use Pentium D 945 now, and planning to upgrade to Core 2 Duo E8600 3,33 GHz.
When I check and try to update my bios with official ASUS P5GC-MX Bios update trough official ASUS Bios Update Utility, it's always fail.
Same thing happen when i try the update using afudos. But now, the error showing is about something like ROMID not compatible due to the pre-installed modified jooyontech BIOS version inside my BIOS Chip and I think it isn't an ASUS Official one.
So I backup that bios using AFUDOS and want somebody to help me to doing a modification to make my Old Mobo at least support Core 2 Duo E8600 3.33GHz.
I see in the Official ASUS Website that my motherboard are supporting all Core 2 Duo Processor even the speed is bottleneck at 800 Mhz while the processor I mentioned are 1333 MHz FSB Speed.

Hey guys. i am Mohiuddin.
I am newbie in this BIOS modding sector.
My specs:
*i7 920
*xfx x58i play hard motherboard(detailed link)
*AMD 6850 GFX Card
I WANT:
Want badly the support of xeon x5650 on my motherboard. i am willing to even spend some money if i could.
Attached my BIOS and Donor BIOS(Asus SABERTOOTH x58- supporting x5650 fully). Both are AMI BIOS
Things i have already tried:
1. Replacing P6 Microcode module of My BIOS with the donor BIOS - using MMTool (BK MOD)
2. Updating microcode from the donor bios using MMTool
3. Manually adjusting different voltages to the recommended x5650 voltages
4. Manually setting the QPI jumper in the motherboard to 6.4GT (as x5650 is 6.4GT)
What happens with x5650 on my motherboard:
No matter what i try (as mentioned above), it acts almost the same.When i power up, the motherboard immediately restarts for one time. then it shows 88 on the ON_BOARD LCD , fan spins, cpu get warms but it does not POST.
But, when i manually set the jumper to QPI 6.4GT on motherboard, it keeps restarting again and again.
Now, i tried the x5650 on my friend's gigabyte x58 ud3r. it works flawlessly.

[REQUEST] Acer Aspire V5-572p Bricked BIOS
Hi there,
My Acer notebook won't boot or load the BIOS, just the fan and power light comes on, after a while it'll restart and repeat the process. I did a search and came across [url= https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/archive/....html]this post[/url] which has the same problem on the same laptop.
Using the steps in that post I can't seem to solve my issue. The notebook doesn't seem to read the USB stick. I've downloaded the .fa file in that post, put it on a FAT32 formatted USB drive, holding "Fn" + "Esc" turn the notebook on, the power light starts flashing indiciating it is in bios recovery mode, but nothing seems to happen, it'll either sit there with the power light flashing for hours, or will restart after a while like it does when it is not in bios recovery mode.
Any help would be much appreciated, not sure if I'm using the wrong files or should do more with the .fa files before putting them in the root of the USB drive.

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire v3-771g laptop, Intel i5-3210m, GeForce 650m. I'm runing v1.15 bios but when I try to upgrade to v2.28 it gives me an error"Please upgrade to the same type of BIOS, V1,.. . I googled about it and seems that all laptop of this serie have this problem. I don't want to unlock aditional options in the BIOS, I just want to upgrade to v2.28. Can I do something? ![Sad]( "Sad")

g580 No BT in UEFI
hi. i have Lenovo g580, i have buyed it without os, i have Windows 10 (trayed 8, and 7 too, same problem)
I trayed only 64bit version, when i installed OS using legacy boot Bluetooth Works perfect, when i have installed os to boot in UEFI,
I cannot see Bluetooth device in device manager (and no unknown device, it simple missing there), i think that is bios issue,
Can anyone fix bios and upload here?

[Request] unlocking CLEVO M670SRU Bios
hi guys, i stumbled onto this neat forum by strolling down google-lane and i have to say you guys are awesome!
lets get to the point: i would like you cracks to unlock said clevo bios, the thing is the UniversalBiosBackup just says "Cannot identify the BIOS", also there is no bios provided on the CLEVO pages. all i found was this "unofficial repository":

i allready succesfully flashed the bios-version 09 and ec-version 06 in hopes of maybe solving my main problem - according to speccy and cpu-z my system should support 4gb of ddr2 but in windows i only get 3gb - i am running win 7 x64 pro - anyway please unlock the bios so i may resolve this issue or can just satisfy my curiosity concerning the hidden options - if the problem won't get fixed i will continue strolling down the bios-mod-lane on google-highway![Smile]( "Smile")
the rar contains the EC and the BIOS file - it is a phoenix, though the file-extension is just ".09" & ".06"![Huh]( "Huh")
- i also added the re-named versions in the second archive ".rom" instead of ".09" got some "unsupported module class"-errors while trying to open it with phoenix bios editor
so that is basicly my request, an answer would be very much appreciated! thank you guys in advance!

PS: allow me one unrelated question. what can it mean if my hp probook 4540s reboots into a BSOD telleing me that my bios is in parts not ACPI compliant, reflashing said bios did not help, changing the version didn't either. in 1 out of 6 times i am able to boot into windows but then i can not run anything - if i try the notebook just freezes - all i can do is to copy files ... it happend after i had to cold-reset 2 times in a row because WoT hung intself - the google-highway led me nowhere specific, maybe you people can give me hint or two while you are at it![Big Grin]( "Big Grin")

HP Pavillion DV3-2137tx Whitelist Removal Request
Hello Friends and fellow IT Personnel.
I have a HP DV3-2137tx that I was opening up to clean the dust in the fan, all was going smoothly when I
go to put the antennas on the WIFI Card back on.
I think my thumb slipped or something but when I went to put it back I took off the socket from the card... So Logically I went to purchase a new card
thinking its just a normal PCIex Port, $15 later I got a better one with bluetooth (everything's better with Bluetooth).
I go to put it in and I get hit with the 104 error.
Subsequently I have searched this website for the same laptop bios and found other DV3's but not my specific model (here)

Maybe some of the other DV3's use the same bios (as I saw one with a very similar model number), but I did not want to risk it.

Wake on Charge on Pad with Insyde-Bios
Hallo,
I have a Terra PAD 1061, with an InsydeH20 Bios Version 45.01.20.
I need the PAD to power on when I connect the power cable. On normal PCs there is usually an option for this in the BIOS, which is missing here.
My Question is: Is there some possibility to unhide this option or enable this feature?
Also if someone knows a similar pad with this option I am interested
