Hello.
Looking around it seems its been asked a few times but all links have expired so i apologize for another thread on this.

I have a Acer L100 and I want to upgrade the cpu which i have seen done. Does anyone have the bios to support bigger cpu's?#
it currently has the Sempron :/ But i gained the unit for nothing so i dont want to complain.

A better bios would be great, not sure if its possible but can more ram be added than the normal 2/4?

Hey guys,

as you can see, this is my first Post here.

I´m looking for an oppurtunity to oc my i7 920 in my XPS 435MT
But as you know the Dell Bios is fully locked and i can´t change anything.

I´m not new to overclocking itself, but without any options in my BIOS i can´t oc.
Is there any Chance of OC the CPU on this Mainboard beside this "SetFSB" software solution ?

Hi,

having problems installing the intel ac 7620 dual band

Intel 7260 HMWWB Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 Network Adaptor PCI Express Half Mini Card 802.11ac 2x2 Bluetooth 4.0 USB

The network card is recognised and is visible in Device manager and I can update driver, trouble shoot or what ever I need to do to troubleshoot and all the information says the device is working correctly. but, the WiFi won't switch on and the f12 wifi switch is constantly orange, Airplane mode switches on and off but WiFi not.

It is also recognised in Network Connections with full green bars but a red circle and cross and will not connect to WiFi despite all efforts and investigations to do so.

Ok here is the thing.......(excuse my little knowledge )
i have a hp laptop pavilion g6-2271sx with Bios ver F.26
i downloaded from http://donovan6000.blogspot.com/2013/12/modded-bios-repository.html the modded ver of F.26
but this error happens

then I tryied searching the web for 9 hours and found that you can use DOS to Flash it
But then all i see are people using AMI or AWARD flashutilities but NO tutorial on Insyde Flashing
................................................................................​..............................................................
so what I am trying to say is how to use donovan's modded Bios and how to Flash it (with DOS if needed)

Hi,

I have a request, I apologise if this is impossible.

Can anyone unlock phoenix BIOS on Lenovo Z580 so I can unlock Intel HD4000 settings and/or Intel CPU and voltage settings?

Or is there something else to it than just unlocking BIOS?

Hello! I have a locked bios on my lenovo g50-45 I would like to overclock it a little its on 2.0ghz (turbo 2.4). So I want to overclock it to 2.7 so it would stay there all the time and no throttling but for that I need to have access to the voltage and cpu ratio.

To give a little more "life" to this lenovo:

Original CPU: i3 3110M [35Watt] (http://ark.intel.com/es/products/65700/Intel-Core-i3-3110M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_40-GHz)
New CPU: i7 3632QM [35Watt] (http://ark.intel.com/es/products/71458/Intel-Core-i7-3632QM-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_20-GHz-rPGA)
Apparently all processor features work OK

At same time uprade ram to 4Gbx2 DDR3L 1600 HyperX Impact Black (auto timming); works great, set automatically to (9-9-9-27 CR=1T)




Only problem: the known issue of high temperatures on Ivy Bridge CPU.
[Context: ambient temperature = 26 to 28°C; Thermal paste Arctic Silver 5; T-JUNCTION=105°C]:

Idle temp.: 40°C
Normal work temp.: 47°C
Full load temp.: 85°C ~89°C peaks~ [3 hour test] [no BSOD, no automatic shutdown protection, no alerts, no hang up during test]

Hi all,


My laptop: Lenovo G580.

I want more available settings in bios (advanced tab) + remove whitelist.

Do I just upload the stock BIOS file? If not, what do you need from me to help me?


One of the main problems I'm having is I have a Core i7 3610QM but the turbo boost doesn't work (runs at 2.3GHz max instead of 3.3GHz max). This CPU is an upgrade and the original CPU was a Celeron 1000M.

Can someone mod my laptop (Lenovo N580) bios so that I can use my Atheros AR5B195 (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth) please ?

GX620 -- would like to run a low tdp chip because mine has a heatsink issue where it gets horrible contact and it's constantly throttled.

I have a E6300 and maybe even a Pentium D...  

For instance thermal management available option. Able to ignore presence of fan without a beep f1 to continue. Possible create fan profile?

Mainly the fan is what hurts temps and the heatsink design is lacking in a major way.

I wanna turn this into a silent h264 machine with an amd hd6350 at 800mhz, 4gb ram, x4 2.5" array. The fan beep issue is annoying and lack of possibility of extra secret options and what app do you use and what steps do you take to proceed with this?

Hi,

First of all, Sorry for the long post, I have experience in other areas of computing but I am completely new to BIOS modding (yes, I am a total noob in this) so am trying to learn. I see from this post that you guys know a lot about BIOS modding so if you can help me a bit with a few questions I have I would be really thankful.

I was reading this post https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Acer-Aspire-V3-772G-variables-for-setup-var-decompiled and wanted to reply but the thread is closed so I had to open a new one to ask a few questions.

I have BIOS insydeH20v1.15/WIN8.1

After reading this post I have a few questions regarding modifying my BIOS from my Aspire V3-772G
I found a few downloads in this post but I don’t really know what they are…

1, Is Aspire_V3-772G_VA70V115_ADV_ACER21_FPTw (http://rghost.net/7Jxl2FkYb) the modded/unlocked version of the Acer Aspire V3-772G BIOS? If not, what is it exactly?

2, I see on the download pages two versions, what is the difference between Aspire_V3-772G_VA70V115_ADV_ACER21_FPT (http://rghost.net/59640384) and Aspire_V3-772G_VA70V115_ADV_ACER21_FPTw (http://rghost.net/7Jxl2FkYb) ??

3, If question 1 is YES, if I flash Aspire_V3-772G_VA70V115_ADV_ACER21_FPTw will I lose my Windows 8 license key, etc...?

4, If I backup my BIOS with the Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 and I insert some of the modules from the modded version (Aspire_V3-772G_VA70V115_ADV_ACER21_FPTw (if this is the modded version)) will that keep my Windows 8 License key?

4.1, is the Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 the correct one or should I use another backup tool?

4.2, How do I know if I have a capsulated BIOS?

5, if question 4 is YES, Which modules do I have to replace? Is it always the same ones as tomma did in the first page of this forum (https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Acer-Aspire-V3-772G-variables-for-setup-var-decompiled) or is it other ones?

6, if question 4 is YES, Is there a comprehensive guide somewhere that I can read to learn how to do this correctly? (What tools to use, etc…) because as of now I don´t know how to do any of this, I´m still learning :-)

7, is there a way to test these modded BIOS without actually flashing? Such as maybe VMware or other virtual environment?

8, If I brick my BIOS is there a way to recover it with a backup? I understand from this post that maybe yes but I don’t really understand how.

9, one last question, this one is important to me… Do you happen to know if this BIOS has mini-PCIE whitelisting? And if YES, can this BIOS mod remove the whitelisting or give me the option to do so?

Also, a lot of files from the links in this post are deleted. Are there any other files I haven’t mentioned that I need to do this? And if YES, where can I find them?
